This track is deffinitelly the closest thing we can get to the famous Nordschleife - twisty, narrow and lot of dangerous turns, despite being just 1/3 of the track length,it brings at least 2/3 of the challenge per kilometer. So it might be proper to call it Carribean Hell as a resemblence. FZR is a very challenging car on standart racetracks already, our Carribean Hell deffinitelly pushed every drivers skills to the edge - only 11 of 19 starters completed full race distance of 13 laps, one driver finished lap behind while another 5 drivers retired but are scored in results as they completed at least 50%.

Finmaxi was the latest addition to RTFR winners club, yesterday his countryman J.Katila took over this honor by winning the 214th RTFR,he is the 1st new winner in last 5 months (11 races) and signs himself into the famous list as 70th member. There's not much to tell about J.Katila's race - he dominated it by leading every single meter while setting also fastest lap in both sessions - besides his 1st win and fastest lap of the race,it was also his 2nd pole position and 2nd top5 finish. Oliver was the only driver in "winner's league" - he was the only other driver to beat 2:30 laptime mark in qualifying and finished less then 4 seconds behind the winner - repeated best finish result and 7th top5 finish in the german's account. Arska was "best of the rest" - over half minute behind winner in the finish, but still podium finish for best previous winner yesterday - 5th top5 finish for him. Reject finished 4th to make finnish majority in top5,4th such achievement for him,Merenui survived a fair share of troubles and crossed the finish line as 5th - he made his top5 count equal to the number he used previously in various leagues - 33.

Next week it's time for the larger version of this event - the combo for 35th RTFR XL is UFR at Blackwood's classic GP Track configuration. Full details about the event will be posted tomorrow. Normal RTFR will return in the week after that with one of street legal cars, more details about that as always in the weekend before.

Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

A total of 23 drivers qualified for this tuesday's race, which is highest amount since 209th RTFR,but only 17 of them were actually standing on grid to go for racing. Still - the 23 goes now into history as the highest attendance of RTFR races using the front wheels driven coupe FXO. Race in temporary street circuit as always has it's own challenges, barely anyone finished the race without a single scratch on car's body.

After sitting out previous RTFR event,Botsi returned to racing at this one and reached the figure 20 in 2 stats rows by setting the fastest lap in qualifying and winning the race. Now also in pole positions chart Botsi is a sole leader, while he also picked up 16th fastest lap of the race and 43rd top5 finish. Botsi's teammate wasn't dropped off far,but still R.Kardol could not get close enough to challenge the finn for leading position and had to settle for 2nd place finish, which is his 26th top5 finish. Best of the rest was Spiky in 3rd position,he scored his 7th top5 finish. 4th was Pedro, who scored for Brazil it's 1st ever top10 finish in RTFR,but 5th was Merenui, who scored his 34th top5 finish (now tied for 3rd most in RTFR).

With this RGE action ceases until sunday of next week, when the VERL season finale will take place in Westhill,2 days after that in usual tuesday evening time the next RTFR is scheduled, one of the full racing machines will be used then. The winner of previous RTFR XL submitted his choice for next RTFR XL - we will return in South City again, this time the small student formula maching will have it's first ever appearance of the larger RTFR - MRT will be run on South City's Town Course, race length is scheduled for 54 laps. With this all 20 LFS cars will be used in 3 years of RTFR XL history.

Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

After more than 30 events break, the fastest LFS car returned to RTFR,a total of 15 drivers took part in this event, which is the approximate average of all time attendance. As usually with car this fast, few incidents happened,2 of them before reaching actual 1st turn.

The 3-time BF1 race winner A.Wiśniewski qualified "just" 4th but he completed 1st lap already 2nd and kept the position until his main rival went for a pitstop - he kept the lead until finish line and became the 2nd driver with 4 wins with single car in RTFR races (1st is Botsi with FBM),he also scored his 12th win overall (still 4th most) and 16th top5 finish. A.Wiśniewski also broke the 25 races long 3 nations domination - he is the 1st driver not from Finland,Lithuania or Netherlands to win a race since 190th RTFR (14th august 2018,won by hungarian L.Kovács). Litti decided to make this short race a 1 pitstop race - only he can answer what went wrong with his strategy, but his pace was not enough faster to compensate lost time during pitstops and he finished 2nd just over 2 seconds behind winner. Litti still collected 5th pole position,8th fastest lap of the race and 9th top5 finish. The defending race winner, rating leader and 2019 standings leader (and practically also standings winner) Botsi qualified 2nd,but had to concede to 2 faster drivers and finish 3rd,but still collected 44th top5 finish. 4th was Oliver scoring his 8th top5 finish,5th was Rony with his 81st top5 finish.

One more race is left towards 2019 standings and by simple glance without any calculations,it seems like Botsi has secured the top position also in normal RTFR. But before finishing the 2019 scored season of normal RTFR,first the XL version is ahead - the year's last 12th race next week will feature 1st appearance of last unused car in this event - MRT. The venue is the tricky South City, where the Town course configuration will be used. Week after that the next normal RTFR is scheduled, where one of the road legal cars will be used. And if someone has already checked the calendar, there is another RTFR scheduled 3 weeks from now - this will be an extra race of the year (was a placeholder in case of cancelled event to complete 2019 standings requirement of 25 races),which won't be scored towards the year's standings. And if looking further into future - not visible yet officially, but ahead lies the 9th annual X-mas derby "This is Crashmaaas !!!" and the 9th season of AWS - more info will be posted during december.

Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

4th january 2011 - for the first time drivers were gathering up for an international event called RTFR at Fern Bay,using both GTi cars in environment's longest configuration, allthough back then in reversed direction and most were selecting the XFG. Now almost 9 years later the event has returned at Fern Bay for very similar race, completing the same 10 laps distance more than half of a minute faster. With history being close to decade long, there are plenty events to find some similarities.

But unlike back then, this time the polesitter kept his lead for all 10 laps, even if competition was present in his mirrors for whole race. Unite was the fastest in qualifying setting new server's combo record, taking his 3rd pole position and used it to score his 4th RTFR race win, while increasing his top5 count to 22. Unite is the 20th driver in RTFR history to achieve 4 or more race wins. The newcomer Paulo becomes the first brazilian to finish in a podium position in RTFR - he finished 2nd yesterday beating country's previous best result - 4th position. The 2-time RTFR XL race winner Spiky recorded his first fastest lap of the race in normal RTFR yesterday, but had to settle for 3rd position, which is his 8th top5 finish. Another brazilian newcomer TJ finished 4th and 14-time winner Merenui completed top5,scoring his 35th top5 finish.

There was a negative aspect in this race, which gets repeated more and more lately - it's always reminded before the race that spectators should not chat during the race as we don't need commentators during the race while it's also an unneeded distraction. Blocking messages is not a good solution - noone has to block himself completely off just because some others have no respect to others and have nothing better to do than create conversations while others are focusing on racing. Everyone interested on communication during the race is welcome to use wide range of voice chats offered for free in the wide world of internet - teamspeak, ventrilo or whatever is cool these days. So please use any other options and save the organizer the distraction of decision to type a reminder about not chatting, kicking or baning the typing happy person.

This was the last RTFR race that was counted towards 2019 standings. The final standings and a little recap will be posted in the weekend. Normally between this and next RTFR there would be 2 weeks break, but that would put next event in x-mas eve,so it has been decided to pull this event forward to next week! Since the serious racing for money prizes is over, the next RTFR in next tuesday might feature a bit more experimental combo, while keeping the normal schedule of using a slick tyre car. Also - has everyone already noted 26th december in his calender? If so,good, because this is... Well, you know! Cool

2019 year standings

Due to offered sponsorship from World Class Lions team a new "championship" has been created within normal RTFR events - the year long total standings. 25 events were eligible for scoring points,20 best scores counted towards standings - all of those are now complete and results are now official. But a little stats overlook first - a total of 83 drivers scored at least a point during the year of 2019,37 of them by finishing at least one race in top 5. We experienced 9 different winners, bigger half of those are multiple race winners. 10 drivers set the fastest lap in either qualifying or race - 2 of those polesittlers never found a way to victory lane though.

RTFR 2019 standings winner: S1DUS*Botsi
Just like in the longer counterpart RTFR XL,also here the standings are dominated by the finnish driver Botsi, who is also the most successful driver of event history since this year. He celebrated 7 race wins and collected a total of 18 top3 finishes - he never finished in lower position than 3rd,he didn't attended all 7 other races of the year. 8 pole positions and 5 fastest laps of the race are also added to his achievements list and he scored a total 262 points during this year - that's an advantage of 34 over closest rival.
Unite made it finnish 1-2 at the top of the table - he scored 4 wins, including 2nd place securing victory in the final race for the standings. Just like his countryman,Unite also scored 18 top5 finishes this year and set 5 fastest laps of the race, but scored only 3 pole positions. The champion's teammate R.Kardol got to victory lane "only" twice and scored 2 less top5 finishes, but still was in position to challenge Unite for 2nd place in final race,he put to his achievements also one each of pole positions and fastest laps.

The 3rd member of the recently founded S1dus team Litti scored 4 wins and 4 other podium finishes to put himself in 4th position in standings. There was another 4-time winner this year - Fast never started a single other race though, his sole 4 wins puts him in 9th place in standings. There are 4 more race winners in 2019 - J.Katila won the 214th RTFR and scored points in 4 other races to put himself in 15th place,Finmaxi attended only twice, won his 2nd try - 25th place in standings. V.Laguckas attended only 196th RTFR,which he dominated, that was enough for 29th place in standings,A.Wiśniewski's win in 216th RTFR put him in 36th place.

If in XL year's recap it was said that there are no specific plans for 2020,this is now more likely to change, but let's not jump any expectations and wait for more info. In the next tuesday there will be one last RTFR this year - the "off-standings" event will be hosted in the roads of Westhill's area using one of the slower slick tyre cars, more info will be posted tomorrow, but be ready for a good challenge! That will be the last serious race from Race Green Events this year and most of you already know why the word "serious" was added to this sentence! Razz

I was wondering where does the unspent money go to, for example 2$ from my reward as 5$ is the minimum. I hope you get at least some of it to cover the running costs over all these years Smile .

There will be continuing sponsorship offered by team WCL also for next year in RTFR events and the "saved" prize money is kind of given out end of next year most probably according to classification in RTFR and RTFRXL series. Saying probably because it is not yet agreed and decided on what prizing model the prize money will be shared out.

The "off-championship" race was hosted on the narrow support roads of Westhill - as always it brought a challenge of it's own by default, increased by agressive FWD GTR racecar XFR. Actually it was expected to have an attendance drop for the difficult combo - that never happened as 19 drivers qualified and stood on grid, which is still 4 over event's all time average.

The 14-time winner Merenui has been around lately after his break from this event, but never was there in good position to race for 15th win, this changed yesterday as he was noticably faster than everyone else, even if the gap to closest follower was variating between less than a second and 3 seconds,he still led all 20 laps. With the 15th win Merenui ties Agent for 2nd place in most wins chart, but due less pole positions, still stays 3rd in event success ranking. He scored also his 9th pole position,8th fastest lap of the race and 36th top5 finish. The only driver able to follow close the leader was another previous winner - J.Pickard worked hard to stay with the leader, but had to settle for 2nd place finish, rounding up his top5 count to 10. Best of the rest was Simox, who repeated his best RTFR achievement with his 3rd place finish,3rd top5 finish for him, provisional polesitter Michal ended up with 4th place in final results, despite repeating his best result,it might be a little dissapointing as he improved his best qualifying effort from 4th to 3rd,4 top5 finishes in his account now. The top5 was closed by Texas, who also lost a position between start and finish, also he scores his 4th top5 finish.

With this the year 2019 is over for RTFR racing - only holiday tuesdays left this year, but the action will return right with the 1st tuesday of the new year 2020 and that with a street legal car. But between now and then Race Green Events will offer 2 other events - 26th december should be known already, but in 1st sunday of the new year the 9th season of RGE's longest running championship series AWS will start with action in South City! Full information will be posted in league's info thread later this week.

Race Green Events wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May the new year will be filled with lots of fun racing and your achievements will improve to new standarts! See you on track!
