This of course assumes my banshee email address was working... Which it isnt...
Still trying to fix that btw, the DNS registrar finaly replied to my email today by saying that...
We did not sit on this case . We have written to the domain admin contact at [email protected] to authenticate your request ; since you are not able to provide us the domains order number.
So the reason I didn't hear anything was because they where sending emails to the email address that isn't working, and in order to fix the email server I have to send an email from the broken email address.
Sam also has the powah to edit Becky's post to say whatever he wants it to and pwn her even harder....not that such a well intentioned individual as Sam would evah even consider such a dirty trick....
Have they caught on to this minor technicality yet? I reckon ICANN is the way to go, if they don't fix it immediately. A fax from your chap (or a proof of ID scanned) to the registrar is usually the alternative method, if recognised email isn't possible. You have to break out of the catch-22 you're in, because your registrar is an idiot.
Oooh!
Nahh.. (serious face) words are sacred. I did edit one of Kev's (thisnameistaken) posts.. it was too much to resist .. but that's the only time I'll ever change someone else's text
I've actually had two replies from the domain name registrar in the same day ! Amazing. They told me to log into my control panel and change the admin address to one that works...
.. log in to a control panel, to change the email address..
but you need a password reminder for the control panel..
which, when requested, is sent to the email address..
that you want to change, because it doesn't work.. so you need to..
We need a server-side app running, which captures a reset and sends the driver to spectate. I think Becky mentioned this to me long ago, and I forgot to look into it. I'll have a word with our s/ware guru Eddy tonight and see if he can knock something out for us.
@Dustin, Sorry Dustin, nothing has pained me more in all the decisions i've made but this rule is there for a reason and it's pretty clear it was a reset - you had an excellent looking accident but when I show the footage I have to cut it short and it all looks poorly edited - thats why the rule exists, and i'm affraid there are no exceptions especially on a major breach like that one.
I suspect it was an automatic reaction without even thinking about it, but luckily your disconnection had already pretty much spoiled the race for you anyway, so better the bad luck is out of the way in one go.
@Jak - your appeal and indeed all the appeals is under consideration, you'll probably hear something by the weekend or start of next week.
I've looked into it Sam, it's impossible to detect a reset reliably. A shift-s can be detected but with the no chat rule that shows up pretty clearly to the clerk anyway.
I've just been for a spin in the RAC on this track, and I'm as fast in the RAC as I am in the RB4! That's not actually saying much. The first corner complex is evil.. I can't make good turns around that part, in anything!

The regulations where changed on that Traxxion . The classes are determined after round 1 by comparing the fastest lap from qualifying+race in each class.
I'm at work now so I dont have my notes with me but if my recollection is correct (and it may not be!) the XRT was the midfield class.
