Sim Broadcasts Soccar Cup 2022
Many of us tremble in anticipation of this year's football World Cup. While we wait, we’re bringing you the first edition of the Soccar Cup in Live for Speed!
Featuring 8 teams of 4 drivers, the tournament will take place on Saturday 19th February 2022 from 14:00 UTC until ~17:25 UTC, covered in full by Sim Broadcasts at:

Tournament Format
The event will take place at the Sim Broadcasts Stadium and will use the [TC] Gaming Football InSim. We will be using the Football and XF GT Electric mods.
- An LFS S3 license is required to enter.
- The event will consist of group stages, semifinals, a third-place playoff and final.
- Players will use the XF GT Electric.
- A maximum of 8 teams of 4 drivers can compete.
- Reserves will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The event will last for approximately 3.5 hours.
- Listen to referee instructions carefully.
- Referee decisions are final.
- No deliberate ramming.
- Do not cross the yellow line in your half before the kickoff countdown has ended.
- First offense, yellow card (warning), second offense red card (removed from match).
- Car reset will be allowed.
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a draw
- 0 points for a loss
- Higher number of points in head to head matches
- Goal difference in head to head matches
- Goals scored in head to head matches
- Goal difference in all group matches
- Higher number of goals scored in group matches
- Higher number of wins in group stage
- If any of the above fail to decide a tie, an extra game will be played to decide the winner, with extra time being added, if necessary.
A Third-Place Playoff will decide who takes third place in the tournament. Each half will be 5 minutes long. The two losing teams from the semifinals will play in this match before the final. In the case of a tie, an extra time period of 3 minutes will be played. In the case of a tie after extra time, we will decide a winner based on the tiebreak rules from the group stage.
Golden goal ruel applies for semifinals and third place game - first goal in overtime ends the game.
The Soccar Cup 2022 Final will consist of 6 minute halves. If there is no winner after the 12 minute game, overtimes are played until the game is decided - no golden goal rule applies here

16:15-16:30 UTC - SEMIFINAL A 5:00 MINUTE HALVES - WINNER OF GROUP A PLAYS GROUP B 2ND PLACE
16:30-16:45 UTC - SEMIFINAL B 5:00 MINUTE HALVES - WINNER OF GROUP B PLAYS GROUP A 2ND PLACE
16:45-17:00 UTC - 3RD PLACE PLAYOFF 5:00 MINUTE HALVES
17:00-17:05 UTC - S3 GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCED LIVE ON AIR
17:05-17:25 UTC - FINAL 6:00 MINUTE HALVES
Entering the tournament
There will be a maximum of 8 teams consisting of 4 players each. Teams will be filled on a first-come first served basis. You may only register yourself for the tournament.
Teams will be filled to prioritise full teams of 4 first. It is possible to sign up as an individual, a pair, or a team of 3, but we will only allocate you to a team when we are able to fill one. We will not put a limit on the number of signups as we will keep a reserve list in case any drivers do not turn up. Reserves will be called up to play on a first-come first-served basis.
The name format for the event is as follows:
"[X] Name" where X is the colour of your team: R G Y B M C W K. For example, for the red team: [R] Name (^1[R] ^7Name)

The winning team will receive automatic qualification into the second season of the Sim Broadcasts Soccar Cup should it happen.
Live for Speed S3 License Giveaway
To incentivise viewership, we will be holding a Live for Speed S3 license draw live on air before the final. To enter the prize draw you must have an LFS demo, S1 or S2 license. Demo accounts must be at least 3 months old to qualify. To enter, please sign up in the License Giveaway Thread.
