Spec Racer Ford is a class of racing car used in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and other series road racing events. The Spec Racer Ford, manufactured and marketed by SCCA Enterprises (a subsidiary of SCCA, Inc.), is a high performance, closed wheel, open cockpit, purpose-built race car intended for paved road courses, such as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Road America, Watkins Glen, and many other tracks throughout North America. With more than 900 cars manufactured, it is the most successful purpose built road racing car in the United States.
Very popular in iRacing, the Spec Racer Ford is one of the rookie categories that always have very interesting races and car to car duels.

Some random points for improvement:

LOD2 has no textures/skins so the cars turns black when viewed from distance.

In the cockpit a speedometer and gear display would be good, maybe as a clipped-on device as in this video:

The front air intake is super shiny/chrome on the inside, looks bit strange. (http://www.hrace.com/srf.html there is a picture. appearently it is just bare metal but maybe not that reflective?)

Visible axles and suspension struts would be nice.
