The online racing simulator
Get more players into the Game: Bring 1 Bike to the free Demo!
I didn´t play so many motorbikesims.
To me as a biker, they never felt anyway like close to the real thing.
LFS is the best bike simulation I ever played.
It takes some hours to get into it. But then-)

This should get more focus!

There are a lot of bikers out there, and most of them got a little "racerblood" in them.

The bike should be in the demo, the game will get new players, which should be in our all interest.

Maybe something slow but cornering like the russian sportster.

What do you think?

I
i think demo is fine as is
and i don't think bikes are anywhere near the state to be used as an official selling point
That is the main point - bikes kinda work with LFS despite LFS not being designed for them. LFS is far away from proper bike simulation - it's not just riding, there is so much more like weight transfer due body leaning in turns or drag reduction when sitting in aerodynamic pose, drag increase when sitting upright. Proper simulator enthusiasts would not appreciate current state of bike riding if it would be in demo and would ditch LFS without considering of licence.
The bikes drive horrible compare to irl, the barrier of not enought input compare to irl thingy has not been broken for me, so currently they serve nothing but giggle functionality in lfs. Demo should just show the core of the game, which are 4wheelers, not giggles, so it shouldn't be bringed to demo. Not to mention I don't recall any bike being uploaded by devs themselfs, only modders provided, which would make it a hassle to transfer it to officialy served content.
Discussions about bringing more content to demo players keep coming up from time to time, and honestly nothing else is worth allowing demo players to use unless its something game-changing (i.e. new graphics).

The intention of demo is for players to try the demo version before deciding whether or not to purchase the game. I have seen demo players that registered in 2016 and are still playing Schwitz
The thing is: Motorbikers are not just other sim-racers. In some way, it is difficult to get many people from the more modern racers back to this game.

Bikers are complete new players.

The thing with the demo is, there are no other full servers with constant races! The game needs players.

To me it´s totally underrated how good the game works with motorbikes, allthough i drive with combined breaks due to my pad.

You may also take a car out, but as you said, it´s about deciding if you buy or not. Most demo players won´t even know, there are motorbikes in the game!

Another good thing would be to put one bike in the regular(not mod) car overview, so they have a chance to know. Or a greyout kind of modlist for demo users.

@CRAAACH

I takes really long. I drove more then 100tkm on real motorbikes, maybe 10tkm in the game.
I am now slowly getting the hook, and it´s feeling just awesome real.
Don´t start with anything faster then the gixxer 400!!!
It´s all about finding lines. Once you got them, you might try faster.
The way the really fast bikes behave in terms of wheelies and small slides with occasional highsiders is just kewl.
I agree, give demo access to GP125 (for me a good base to train yourself)

To give a flavour of mods, one should put one mod in each demo section. One open wheeler like skippy, one bike like gp125, one fwd car and one rwd car. This would attract more players to lfs for sure and it would payoff all of the Scawens efforts invested in mod support.

Best marketing allways rely on addiction.

edit. sorry, I almost forgot, also one awd car for rally fans.
