RTFR has been known for usung high variety of cars, from very slow to very powerful. This tuesday it was the case of high tier racing machine from very early 90ies,when 12-cylinder engines were in trend in the highest racing class. Proof of difficulty level was struggles for some drivers who are winning many races latelly in either RGE leagues or other organized ones - current RTFR standings leader was almost lapped twice. Despite difficulty level, the atrition rate was very low - from 22 starters there were only 3 DNFs,2 of those due technical issues - the trend is usually other way round.
Gábor's winning rate has gone down recently, however yesterday he was again on top of the game - he was fastest in qualifying by almost a second, scoring his 4th pole position in this scored season and 27th overall, but after start found himself in chaser's position for 5 laps, then the road to victory lane was free of competition - the hungarian led the remaining 19 laps to score his 33rd RTFR race win (2 weeks too late for numberology fans),setting record breaking 29th fastest lap of the race, which is now sole highest in RTFR history. Additionally Gábor rounded his top5 count up to 60,while this was the 40th race he led - also now all time highest, breaking a tie with Botsi. Unite finished the race in runner up position already 27 seconds apart leader with a progress of 4 positions between green and chequered - that's his best finish of this season and 80th top5 finish in total. Sean repeated his previous best finishing position by finishing 3rd after hard battle - 4th top5 finish into his account. His rival was TJ,who worked hard, but never found way pass for podium finish,so he had to settle for 4th position, which is is 8th top5 finish. Top5 was closed by Thehemuli, who scored his 2nd top5 finish in row and 10th overall.
