As the title says, I can join a multiplayer server, but the mods and skins don't download. I am having a similar issue with trading paints on iRacing.

This issue goes away when I use my VPN, but I'd rather not use that as my ping is higher while using it and it's just a hassle.

I assume that means my router settings are not correct, maybe I need to open a port or something, but I'm not the best at this stuff so I wouldn't know where to start.

Greetings. Openning a port wont help most likely. That seems like a firewall issue. Did you try disabling it or even better adding a exception/rule to it so LFS is Allowed.

Tried this, turned off the firewall on both my router and PC, neither solve this issue.

This could be it, neither of those links work. I'll have a poke around in my router and computer settings to see if there's anything enabled.
