Qualifying Result
It was half-redemption for TAV's Suforr, who grabbed pole ahead of MRc's Texas. dod1slaw was a repeat stunner, putting his car in 3rd for the start, along side Race Green's Mandula. Both SIDUS's cars of Rik and Gabor sat out the round. 18 racers qualified, however a total of 21 would see lights out for the race!
The race start
Off the line, it was dod1slaw and MRc's Atian whom got the best launches, with the former getting past Texas and slotting into 2nd behind Suforr. Maciek fell back after running wide at Turn 3, whilst Tbug had the hard task of climbing back up the field from dead last. With the first lap complete, it looked like it would be a four-car train for the lead, with Suforr unable to pull a decent gap out front and dod1slaw right up his gearbox. Further back, YES Motorsport's Sobis ran wide at the first turn, dropping from 13th down to 17th.

Dod1slaw eventually hassled Suforr for the lead, however ran onto the grass and dropped back behind Texas, in 3rd. Surprisingly in all this, Suforr was still within touching distance. Meanwhile, Tbug was making good time, and was already up to 11th from his starting position, after battling hard with Goncalo and FSR's DLV.. However, Tbug slid wide on Lap 4, losing places before getting into a tangle with LG Mies down the bridge, through no fault of his own - all the good work undone. A few laps later, he would retire following a tangle with Race Green's Maciek into Turn 1.

Lap 8 saw the first pitter in the form of Atian, who dived in from 6th, and emerged into a battle with a DLV. A couple of laps passed where everyone found their pace and rhythm, and small battles continued to form around the track, with a recovering LG Mies battling with Goncalo, whose front tires were crying for mercy. There was even an exciting battle for 16th between nickmusi and Netariosk, both of which remained locked together till the finish.

Suforr running wide, lap 16
A mistake from Suforr during the lazy middle stint saw the top 4 close right up again, and all the work to extend a small 2 second lead reduced to nothing. dodlslaw and Texas were right there with him again, and would make the final stint with the pitstop a real challenge. Further down the field, VM's January was being chased by a trio consisting of DLV, Atian and Sobis, however he would fend them off to finish 8th, only conceding a place to Atian.
Lap 23 saw something special, with Mandula keeping his tires in the best health and finding extreme pace, passing Texas and then dodlslaw to get into 2nd, right behind Suforr. Mandula would blink first, performing the undercut on Lap 26, hoping to use his cooled tires to his advantage - which he did, as Suforr's pitstop the next lap saw him emerge behind. However, Mandula had an unfortunate tangle with a backmarker and would end up finishing only 4th.

An unfortunate contact and loss of a potential win
In the meantime, a spin from LG Mies saw him make big contact with Nektarosk, sending his car skyward. Fortunately, both drivers were able to continue in the race. Up front, Mandula's excursion and Suforr's pit meant Texas was out in the lead, and lapping similarly if not quicker than Suforr. It was close, but after his pitstop, Texas emerged behind in 2nd, it was not enough.
Hard fought podium
It was TAV's Suforr who took the win, the full redemption after a shambled first round at Westhill for him. Texas finished 2nd, with dodlslaw rounding off the podium. A story of what it could have been for Mandula, surely he would have his own redemption at the next round. His teammate Nosle came 5th in a quiet race, while Sobis recovered to 10th just ahead of Redbot.
