wheel drivers and vista :(
i have a logitech force formula. only an old thign but it worked with xp and now i have vista it wont work correctly i tried rightclick on the wingman icon but it sais that there is no hardware recognised. wtf do i do
As far as I know, Logitech wheels don't work in Vista. It doesn't recognize my DFP either. That was with Beta 2 though, I just installed RC1 yesterday, so I'll have to try with that.

The best advice I can give is to keep an XP install, lol. Sucks if you didn't though :-\ Vista is still WIP, and some stuff doesn't work yet, as you've found out...

A beta OS isnt supposed to be used every day, by end users. Its only for developers...
My DFP recognises, installs and stuff. The profiler detects it AND lfs says its a DFP in controls, but the left light flashes and it just dont work. Then when you play, nothing. Cant calibrate or anything. Then you read the hardware thingy and it says Device can not starts. Code 10 or something.
its ok i found out that vista is cr@p anyway. i just put xp on again so much better. anyway whats so special about vista? all it is is a bunch of new high res backgrounds and a different coloured start button.

Not quite, but it is a beta product, so don't expect everything (read: anything) to work in / with it.
Thanks for your valuable and insightful opinion on Vista illepall Seriously though, stay away from beta products until they hit the shelves if you expect minor things like game controllers designed for a previous OS to work "play and play".
My Formula Force EX works fine in RC1.
Vista isnt just a facelift. It's been completly re-coded and works in a differnt way to XP. I've been running RC1 for 1 - 2 weeks and its been rather good so far. My CPU usage is below 10% when im just browsing the net or listening to music which is a step in the right direction from the Beta 2. (it was about 50% doing the same thing) And if MS can get the ram usage down shit loads, i think Vista will be a very, very good piece of kit. Even tho my wheel dont work, everything else i've pluged in does.
