:bump: I'm Irish ask me! ask me!
Got me Kev - I'm not a pint drinker. If FORCED I could probably manage about 2 pints before I'd be full... (not pissed, just full up)... In terms of alcohol tolerance, I'm not much of a drinker anyway, but I can take Jack until the cows come home.

As you come from a more northerly latitude than I it's guaranteed you'd drink me under the table!

"Wind in the Willows" is the children's book by Kenneth Grahame about mole ratty and toad of toad hall. Nuclear fallout is most definitely NOT involved.

"When the wind blows" is the animated film about an elderly couple who slowly die of the after effects of a nuclear holocaust.

As for Wombles, well being 35 I can remember when the world was in black and white and there weren't no posh things like t'internet. Wombles were much more important in those simple times and I had a stuffed Wellington toy and the Wombles 33rpm vinyl. It was my favourite television show, other than Fingerbobs which I actually fell down the stairs and gave myself a great big cut above my eye in my haste to go and watch.
Underground overground wombling free, the wombles or wimbledon common are we, making good use . . . . :irked:

I feel too young to remember some of the programs mentioned. Although am old enough to drink but i can drink, but ive never found my limit and never tried either lol. I know its more than 13 pints though (Well used to be)

Lmao! my boss walks by me this morning and guess what song he was whistlingillepall
One of two things, he was either watching The Wombles last night or he's around here somewhere

I'm not familiar with the Wombles, but this talk reminds me of another underground creature of yesteryear... the FRAGGLES! Dance your cares away, worries for another day. Let the music play, Down at Fraggle Rock!
I liked the little dozer guys, and always felt bad for them when the fraggles ate their little structures

Lol, Thundercats? What about VOLTRON, or Gummy Bears? (Bouncing here and there and everywhereeeee!)

OMFG Time to go to bed, I'm delirious >.<

LOL! I'm old, so my faves are things like The Wombles, Paddington Bear and Thunderbirds.

I used to go home for lunch when I was at school, since you could just about spit on my classroom's window from my house. That means that, to me, tomato soup and Rainbow are synonymous. Such well-rounded characters as Bungle, Zippy and George. I fancied Jane.. but my favourite Rainbow episode, as far as I know, was never actually broadcast
Oh mang, I have a Wombles vynil somewhere, great to listen to
Heh, speaking of Trapdoor, one of my house mates has a smexy Trapdoor poster on her well

Quote from thisnameistaken :Damn, Tristan's even better than me at liking Trapdoor.

Tristan - how many pints can you drink?

oOo, last night I hit 7 pints. I was able to drink more and not yak, but I had uni in the morning so I didn't want to be hung over, so I stopped. What do I win?

Quote from SamH :ALL of them? Click the link above

Yar, I have The Wombles, Paddington Bear, Rainbow and Thunderbirds all on bootleg videos (because back then it was cool to steal stuff from TV), my dad started recording them way before I was born to build up a childrens video library, they were going to get tossed in the trash this year in a clean-up but I leached all the good ones

I remember that video, I was shown it last year I think (maybe who knows), but to a child childrens TV is just fun and games, it's only when you become corrupted by adulthood that you see rudies.

Umm.. me! We often change miss-spelled, mis-informative or plain uninformative thread titles. The thread is about wombles, not wobles

Ah yes, but SamH one must strive to retain one's sense of humour every now and again

Ahh.. but when the comedy value is at the expense of another (eg. someone's genuine embarassment at mis-spelling his thread title), one should seek the comedic content of the thread itself, not its title

I dunno if Gentlefoot was embarassed at his typo or not. I just know I woulda been .

yeah Gentlefoot you big gob*hite
Okay, so which is better? Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet?

Personally I feel that Thunderbirds was the better show, but Scarlet tended to cover more adult topics and morals.
