Quote from Scawen :Unfortunately that isn't the right info.

You needed to click on the "click here" button then click once more on the following screen, and it would have given you a crash address.

Quote from alco64 :ahhhh dammit. Sorry.
If it ever happens again i'll do that.

Start > Run > "compmgmt.msc" > System Tools > Event Viewer > Application

In there search for "Error" entries, these contain the crash address. I just looked at mine and I still had the join-server-crash entries from U24 in there, so it's likely yours is there too.

I've just looked in there and all I can see are offsets, not addresses (even though it says address, it gives an offset).
Uh okay. It lists it as "offset" in the data-area, that's true. But I don't recall ever seeing anything different than these offsets

E: Ah, darn, you have to "click here" twice *g*, nevermind then
Quote from liberto :@ Scawen : i installed LFS U and then patched to U20 and it was good with FPS (almost 30 alone and 25 with another car) then i installed U27 and i had this FPS bug again ... so i reboot my computer as you say but no effect .. 15 fps again with 1 car on the screen :s

hope you can fix that in the future patch

Are you sure that your graphics options haven't changed? Take a screenshot of your U20 graphics settings and compare it to the U27. There may be something changed. This has happened at least once before, you may want to take a look at it
Graphical Corruption of Real Mirrors When Using Virtual Mirrors
Apologies if Alt-tab issues are a no-issue I normally don't use Alt-tab, was just trying to replicate some of these other strange graphical problems people have been having.

Some sort of a graphical corruption (?) is drawn to real mirrors when using virtual mirrors. It occurs only in FS, only when using Alt-tab and only when using virtual mirrors. If I alt-tab back and forth a couple of times when this happens, the stuff drawn in the mirrors gets even stranger.

LFS Patch U27, haven't tested on anything else but will do so if it helps

Quote from NotAnIllusion :Some sort of a graphical corruption (?) is drawn to real mirrors when using virtual mirrors.

This has been around for a while for me. I get it sometimes depending if I alt-tab and use another program or something. Not sure how to reproduce it, but I have seen this many times in the past. Probably not so specific to the U patches.
I hope this is in the right place.

Regarding the scripting system, would it be possible to have a command to run a particular script from within the game ?

I'm thinking of Counterstrike where you can edit your scripts, save, then go to the console in game and type 'exec blahblah.cfg'. It's useful when testing new scripts as you wouldn't have to restart the game for the script to be initialised after each edit.
Scawen, can u pls add more value for option "Mirror offset lateral"?

example:
-0.100 / +0.100 m

THX!

/run X or //X will run the script X.lfs

Is that what you mean?

Thats exactly it.

Sorry, must have missed it.

Hm, just tried U28 and LFS totally froze.

Gonna try once more.

Edit: nope, happened again, just after retrieving the list of players it freezes for a few seconds then CTD.

I can see the window with crash information but it disappears before i can get the info.

When trying to start an offline race... after loading the track and clicking OK, U28 quits to the desktop without any notice. XP SP2, Intel P4 2GHz

Sometimes, i still get "DI : FFDevice - DIERR_HANDLEEXISTS" message.
U28 always crashes when I start a single race (practice,no AI). U27 works fine.

Me too, in U27. And once I had a black screen (which I never had before), but couldn't reproduce it yet.

Sounds like you got the first version of U28. Just get it again and it will work.
