This little challenge was inspired by the "whats wrong with the RAC?" thread.

Challenge:

To produce the fastest possible proper hotlap with the RAC, using a horrific setup, and driving on BL1 rev.

This should be fun! OK I have set the ball rolling with a terrible lap of 1:26.12.


Rules:

You must use the provided setup with the RAC, and produce a proper clean hotlap.

My arms hurt and my wheel won't take much more abuse.

That's sick, sick as it can be really. My shoulder hurts anyway, got 1.41 at the first and only lap I tried.

Anyway YEES I just got into the 1:24's. Sweat was pouring all over.

mousers have a huge advantage in this, if done correctly

i got a 1:30 something, but couldnt be assed saving the replay. ill properly do it tommorow

no...mouse - disadvantage.

as soon as u step on the gas the car is almost uncontrollable, with wheel u dont have that problem as u can acclerate slowly.
and if u still think its way easier with mouse, then change ur ctrls to mouse and show us a nice lap

i have gotten used to the wheel. i have never used the mouse for racing, the mouse has the advantage that you can turn the wheel extremely fast. if i try to do that with my wheel, it wil break. if you look at my replay how fast i am turning it...

i always turn the wheels to fast by accident. and i hate it. i wish id have a wheel then this couldnt happen (so easy).
has caused alot crashes....FO8 at 250 KMH and u move ur mouse too fast by accident - bye bye race.

"too fast" when talking about a wheel is "very slow" when talking about the mouse. With the mouse i can turn it from left to right and back left like 3 times in one second.

with the wheel you can't do a full left->right->left in one second (and keep your wheel... lol )

in circumstances, like in this thread here, where to keep the RAC you need to do full locks VERY FAST, the mouse makes this easier.

the whole point why i need such radical steering movement is that my back always trys to overtake me. whys that? cuz as soon as i acclerate im on FULL throttle. with wheel and pedals u can acclerate slow and wont have such aggressive reactions of the car (less steering /slower)
