What is mates@track ng?
m@t ng is a server- and mate browser for Windows.
The tool has many features such as mate properties (LFS statistics, PBs, HLs, usw...) and a PB/HL comparision feature.

it's when you started it for the first time...
hmmm...can you reproduce it?

Tried to reproduce it.

Went to folder. Clicked exe, and again I get the error after the splash screen (exactly the same one). I don't do anything 'weird', but I have Firefox2 open, Outlook 2003 open, Live Messenger sitting in the tray, and AVG Free idling in the background.

Close all the warnings and try again: Works fine.

Repeated attempts also work fine now.

If you want me to try things let me know. Only seems to happen on first loading. Haven't rebooted the PC since installing it.

It's probably my PC. It's a work computer (actually, it's my old P4 2.8 system from home), and I didn't really set it up in the detailed fashion I normally do on my home computers. I'll try it at home tonight and see what happens. If it crashes there I'd be much more inclined to blame you

Mates have problem with proxy servers i guess:

giving me error every minute:
have to disable proxy to get it work.

dont know if this is the right place for suggestions but here would be one:

would it be possible to import existin mates from lfsworld?
easy way to do it could be a txt file where we can copy paste all the mates
and then somehow import that txt file to mates ng?

if that feature is already somewhere i just didnt find it ^^

you can import mates from older m@t versions, but not as text only.
but maybe I can implement it for the next patch!
should be done quite fast!

look at the homepage (on the top right you can change the language!)

it's like ICQ (but without chatting) and shows if a mate is online and you can easiely join to your friend!

I just tried to import mates from old m@t(0.7.3.5) and it only copied name of the group but no mates.....maybe a bug maybe something else i don't know i just wanted to report it.

I though it was because lite version is limited with 5 mates but i tried to import group with one mate and same result.

send me the file from which you imported the mates!
but if you have already 5 mates, importing should fail! (only LITE version/and maybe STANDARD ==> 15 mates)

Well currently i have 2 mates in new version. I created new profile(group) in old version with one mate and tried to import it and it still only copied the name only:

how do you import the file?

I have only one group and me added (as default, wehn you dl m@t).
the i rightclick in the current group select Import group and then choose your test file...

==> works fine here!

victor now changed the system so that everyone mus have a ident key...
it's fully free but you HAVE TO create one and us it for mates@track ng!

I did it same way and it does not work...and in addition it crashed now :}

No crashes at home, or at work since the test patches. Who knows what it was, but if it crashes again I'll let you know. Having not used it before much I have nothing to import yet, so I can't test that so easily.

I tried the Lite version yesterday and it looks great. Earlier versions had some stability issues but this one has none (so far ). I like your idea of different version, but if i were you i'd make only two (Lite and Pro).

Hi, I downloaded test patch B (I didnt have A) and get appl without text.
WinXP SP2, czech version

^^ same thing here, no text in English XP Sp2 either

edit: you need to install the old one and then just copy new test .exe file

Or just use Browse For Speed, which is far superior and free (in every sense of the word). The UI is, in fact, usable!

I know this is a shameless plug - for people who think it may be innapropriate for me to post in this thread - CrazyICE did go and send a private message to everyone who replied in my initial thread announcing BFS.
