For those of you that dont know i am a musician in real life and
a member of a group called "LIFEBLOOD"

We specialise in Drum and Bass, Alternative, Dance, Popular and
all kinds of music genre's.

We have submitted a track called "its ok now" to a website where
each band's song is nominated to go through to the next round of a competition.

Completing all the rounds of this competition leads up to being able
to perform at a gig and a possible recording contract.

To make it through the rounds we need nominations for our song.
We would like it if any of you would b kind enough to
nominate our song.

You will also get a chance to listen to the song and see what u think.
This will mean a lot to me and my fellow bandmates as we have been trying for
years to become known to people and record company's.

I'm not doing this for you, for two (three?) reasons:

1) I can't be bothered.
2) Competitions like these come up all the time, hence 1).
3) You're better off without that recording contract.

If your music is any good, you would do better to get a buzz going by yourself by distributing your stuff around club DJs and promoters and so on, or doing DJ spots yourself.

Most recording contracts (especially those given away as competition prizes) aren't worth the paper they're written on. The major labels are 1% music and 99% industry - without exception - and you should only ever use their services when it becomes practically impossible for you to do it yourself.

Never ever send demos to record companies. Nobody at a record company is legally allowed to listen to a demo unless it comes from a recognised music company. Record co's are forced to destroy large amounts of demos for this reason.
Side note: This is because by sending them a CD you are essentially 'giving' them the songs. This way lies many lawsuits and that's why they no longer do it.
Basically that means a demo must come from management or (in rare cases) a publisher. These days it's also very rare that record execs go scouting, because it's much less work to simply "make" a group to perform songs bought cheap from songwriting companies. Sad but true.

Chase management instead. I moved to London after advice from a manager who was interested in my band. Managers are the ones with the contacts, which you need to get your foot in the door.

Or if you have a lot of money (or a huge amount of fans), skip the record company altogether and go to a publisher. If you have a full album of professionally recorded songs, you might be able to set up your very own publishing deal where all profits go to you instead of the record company taking their cut. A lot of bands are going independant these days. It's more risky and expensive (you need to promote it all by yourself) but the reward is you get all the glory and cash at the end. Sell CDs at gigs to recoup your expenses and if you get lucky you can make a profit from them.

You're going the right way mates, but this doesn't cut it yet. I notice you guys have it in you but you need more experience and better software than FL Studio maybe.

That's not the best attitude to have around here.

Also take care to type with accurate spelling, there are lots of non-native English speakers here who probably don't understand "txt speak". You may recall the English language also having capital letters.

This all might help people take you more seriously, as would not referring to your own music as being "gay".

No, we don't like vote for me, vote for me.. we're democrats wich like to vote on something they DO like and not vote on something we dont like.

I would've posted the link and told people about what's going on and ask them to nominate me if they liked it in a decent manner.

I wasn't giving an opinion of your music because I hadn't listened to it, so I don't know why you're getting all pissy at me. I just didn't think this silly competition was worth your time.

Now that I have listened to your music, I would suggest that time might be better spent creating better music, which should make it easier for you to sell records. I don't think there's much of a market for bad middle class white rappers, but the best of luck to you anyway.
