V Patch and my Virtual H Shifter
I hate the sounds for a start, but thats another thing!

My virtual H Shifter works but everytime i use it i get a popping sound as if typing something on a window where i cant type (you know the annoying sound it makes!).

I use the Virtual H Shifter along with key buttons (in Shifter option in controls on LFS i mate keys such as A for First gear). When it shifts into first with gear stick it Holds A down affectively... How can i stop this sound with LFS?

THanks
Maybe it's the new gearchange sound in LFS? Can you post a clip of the sound?

no its the warning sound that happens in any program in windows when you hold a key down where there is no where to type
Its very annoying, i can go into gear and that and hold it there, jus the awful sound is made!

To delete the message sounds you need to goto the sounds folder and delete or rename:

buttonclick.wav
error.wav
invalidkey.wav (probably the one your hearing)
message.wav
sysmessage.wav

IMO they're bloody annoying, I'm I the only one who likes silent interfaces (not just in LFS) rather than pointless noises? I really think LFS should have an option to turn them off.

If you delete them i think LFS throws up CANT FIND FILE error messages on loading. So replace them with a small blank .wav file to remove that nag i reckon.
THANK YOU I really should have thought of that ...

But it's still a bug in LFS that was reported several times to Scawen already.

Isn it a widnows sound that gets played and not lfs? I get the same thing when using 'push to talk' for teamspeak.

It's only a line of chat for each file telling you LFS can't find it when you start so it doesn't actually cause any annoyance (like pop ups).
