OK, everyone please stop telling him to get a G25 as he said he can't afford one yet
I can recommend the very affordable Logi Momo Racing (aka Momo Black). Two pedals, seq. shifter you can mount either side of the unit, pretty decent FFB, quite sturdy. There are six programmable buttons on the wheel (which you can turn into 12 by using one as a shift key) and it also has flappy paddles - these, however, are flimsy, as I found out one day while shifting down into Lesmo, playing GPL. I started using the shift immediately and haven't looked back Apart from that, it's been very sturdy (except for when I sat on it, broke the main clamp and had to bind it all back together with gaffer tape - still works perfectly). I do recommend the "squash ball" mod - you stick a squash ball under the brake pedal to give it a bit of resistance, otherwise it's very soft and springy like the accelerator and not great to drive with. I got this wheel in late '02 and haven't needed to replace it yet (although there was a de-contstruct/rebuild my mate did for me in mid '03, which turned out to be totally unnecessary ) - I'm still using my original squash ball too I'm getting a G25 as soon as I can ride my bike under a van and sue somebody.
