G25 - Power LED Flashing
From my post at the Logitech forums...

"Well, I love my G25, but today the Power Light just randomly started flashing, and the wheel was about 30 degrees off in-game, yet all the other buttons and axis' on the wheel (ie the pedals) work fine, to recalibrate it i unplugged it and plugged it back in, but this time, the light carried on flashing, but now the wheel would turn in my hand, but would not register in game controllers (said it was dead-centre), however all the buttons etc still work. I then unplugged it and plugged it into a different USB port - Yay! it stopped flashing! And it's re-centred! But alas, its not fixed, if i turn it, let say 10° right, when i let go it will go back 30°, so that it's new centre is 20° to the left, and it does this until its centre point is full lock on the left.

I have tried:
Re-installing the drivers
Rebooting
Different power lead (which im now having to use on my Momo, and it works fine...)
Changing it to 900 and then unplugging it and re-plugging it in.

What else do i do?"
Get it replaced.
yea it sounds like there are plenty of problems with it

contact logitech, see what they have to say
because thats alot of problems going on there
The logitech drivers have a centering bug i think, a simple re-install of the drivers solved my centering issue.

i also found that, if you G25 (or dfp) is at a 30 degree angle when you start you PC up, 2/10 times, it centers at that angle, quite annoying
I have a G25 and its my first wheel so ignore my idiot-ness.

Is Logitech profiler running, my wheel didnt centre if it was loaded properly.

going too, but if i do that i have to go back to the Momo's terrible pedals!
Have you tried other USB ports?

Even... try it on a different computer?

That usually narrows it down and can sometimes save you the hassle of getting it replaced.

yes, i have
I didn't know there was a power LED. Where is it?
Has anybody got a G25 that still works properly? It looks like such a good set of controls but I don't want one if it's going to fall apart within six months.

On the shifter right hand side. Mine used to flash and be none-centred, can't remember how I fixed it, I think I just recalibrated it in LFS then changed the USB port so it reloaded the drivers.

thisnameistaken: I got mine when they first came out over here and still works good. The only thing I don't like about it is the amount of noise and vibration it generates when turning and after a 12 hour race it got kinda toasty.
Mine works lovely Kev, I have no complaints about it whatsoever.

I've had the flashing Power LED when I intentionally held the wheel when restarting, causing calibration to become ****ed up, and the same when I first got it (just threw it into a USB slot...) Now the only time I get a flashing Power LED is when the Kernel is loading when booting into Linux.
Mine works perfectly too except for reverse gear but thats not a big problem. I had the led flashing too, but unplugging all the wires, even the shifter and pedals from the wheel fixed it.

My G25 is plugged in and turned on 24/7, it never leaves my desk and never had this problem.

ive just gone back to my Momo, and that thing is SO loud, it actually puts me off driving - the things you never notice!

just rigged up another PC and it works fine

Not sure what to do now, i have an STCC race later today, and want my G25!

I was using an MS wheel, and it was pretty much noiseless when put next to the G25.

Because it's centre isn't centre, recalibrate it under LFS, also unplug as much USB junk as you can on your PC. I had to do that recently for some reason, fixed it's self after I did it, which was kinda weird.

What were you doing at the time of the error? anything abnormal messing about?

was having a go in the tweak, from reading the Logitech Forum its the second common problem (1st being the shifter breaking)
CSU1 - Can't have been anything worse than your avatar suggests anyway.

Edit: Ah, slow
