Praystation and Nintend'oh

Fun for a while, then went back to PC gaming. Consoles still don't interest me as much as PC gaming.
I have played on just about any platform supporting games though.
Including a Game Cube on a 16x12m theatre screen and 12kW soundsystem with mates.

Agreed 100% for any hardenned gamer, however for a "quick blast" or if you have friends round, nothing beats a console game.

Case in point - with four friends who have had too much beer, the appeal of "Fusion Frenzy" on the XBox was great - one of the games is controlled by just 2 buttons, which is about as much as you can handle at that point ... this also applies if you have kids and their friends descend.

I too went through a phase where I gave up on consoles and swore to stick to PC gaming. Then the hassle of maintaining disk space, calculating system requirements, patching everything, etc, got the better of me and thought sod it. Consoles are great for party gaming and the fact that it's just pop a disc in and play. The only 'game' I play on the PC now is LFS.

Well I started of with some of those really old consoles that you just plug into your tv flick once switch to cycle through hundreds of games that was on it. I can't remember what it was called though. Did have a Zx Spectrum before that but don't think that counts as a console

After I have moved to England I got a Sega Master System 1994. In 1997 I bought the playstation 1 which lasted untill 2001 when I bought my first computer and havent looked back since. I also don't like consoles and the games that come out on them. Most of them are load of rubbish.

The Master System got thrown down the stairs at one point and shattered into about 5 pieces, later to be replaced during a trip to a pawn shop in Texas. The replacement is at the bottom of my closet at home and works fine.
The NES also got thrown down the stairs at the same and survived with barely a scratch. It's also still sitting in the bottom of my closet and works fine.
The SNES was never abused as the above two systems. As with the above two, it's still in my closet and still works fine.
The PS1 was ruined when my brother tried to mod chip it.
The PS2 is still in perfect working order. Interestingly, I think I own FAR more games for the PS2 than all the other systems combined.

Inherited my girlfriend's PS1 when I moved in with her too

The thing about consoles is they're much better for games than PCs when you have a few people in the same room. You don't need to worry about setting the network up, making sure everyone's on the same patch, that all required ports are open on all machines, nobody's downloading random crap, etc. You just switch on and go.

Enjoyed it for a while until i got my first PC, then i gave it away.

Im now a fully confirmed PC snob Consoles are for kids....there's nothing a console can do that a PC cant do better imo
