What I meant was if you don't use a patched version, you won't beable to join games hosted by patched versions. Otherwise there's no problems If you already had S1 unlocked it should remain unlocked

0.5Q, like 0.3H has a statically written address for the master server. Since this changed 0.5Q isn't usable online. Like 0.3H.

If you want to play LFS online, I'd suggest using 0.5W as it's the latest official version. It is available from the main website.

This thread is for old versions people want to use, for whatever reason. In order to use old versions they need to be unofficially patched. These are custom patches which are unsupported by the development team.

I've tried that but it didn't work.

I downloaded LFS_S1A version, patched with patch S1A to H, copied LFS 0.3H - Patched.exe to install directory.

When unlocking with right game password it says "Unlock error".

When unlocking with wrong game password it says "GAME password don't match".

I changed my game password but it didn't work either.

I asked help from LFS Tech but unfortunately they didn't have any ideas.

Any ideas?

I wan't to make videos from our S1 multiplayer lan sessions (mpr replays).

With S2 0.5W unlocked version it can't replay S1 mpr's, it says "obsolete replay"

That's a "fault" with earlier versions of LFS. It *might* be possible to patch that, but it's not worth the effort of investigating without the actual source tbh. You'll notice that Vista support only came with recent versions of LFS.
