ok so i was reading yesterday about if you drive on the grass/dirt, your tyres get dirty and slippery.

what about actual bits and pieces of grass or dirt on the tyres?

particle systems are extremely CPU intensive, if we see it at all, it will deffinetly be something done in S3

Or it could be done as an extra texture layer on the tyres, related to the amount of dirt the F9 menu shows.
