Logitech DFP
Hi, sorry about starting a new thread but my dad won't let me buy the DFP until he knows it'll work with the PC

Could you please tell me how easy the DFP is to set up to work with the PC, if any drivers are needed and if the force feedback works?

Thanks in advance

Invicta.

Edit : And also why logitech doesn't advertise it as a PC wheel as well as a PS2 wheel, that confuses him aswell
I haven't personally used the DFP but a lot of other players do. It will work perfectly with Live for Speed, including force feedback.

This link will help you find and set up the drivers. If you get any other problems I'm sure someone with more experience with the DFP could help.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply!

Sadly he still isn't convinced that it'll work
Thanks anyway

The DFP is a wheel made for PS2 and Gran Turismo 4 and uses a usb plug. Wingman software was made for the dfp to be supported on PC (which as far as i know was made by logitech themselves)
To get the dfp to work it is as simple as instal the wingman software, follow instructions, set pedal axis in LFS and buttons etc then you can play with it.
I myself used a dfp with lfs for just over a year before selling it to fund a g25. If you want to convince your dad just go on youtube and search for something like - LFS DFP - as there is bound to be some videos of people playing lfs with a dfp around.

Edit: Also see THIS THREAD showing 30% of people polled use the dfp.

I've driven over 70 000kms (43 495miles) in LFS with DFP and some more in other racing games.
You need Logitech® Gaming Software 4.60 or newer, can be found here (I doubt version 4.60 is in the box).
i aint had 1 prob with DFP ad still going strong lad
Thanks for all your help guys!

At last, after seeing it being used on YouTube, he's going to let my buy it
