I would like to change the wheel of my DFP and add an aftermarket one. Is this possible?Do I need the FREX adapter?

if you use a frex adaptor that is the same price as buying a brand new DFO, just for the Adaptor, add the steering wheels they mention and the price is up past a new G25.... why would you want to do this out of curiousity??

Because it's nicer
I have a frex adapter and i put a flat bottom Sparco wheel onto it, it really is a lot more comfortable and just plain better looking then the original DFP wheel.
The only thing the G25 has over my wheel is the pedals, other than that i wouldn't change anything.

Really spending an additional £100+ just to make the DFP nicer? wow - thats something i would not waste money on (don't get me wrong) i have a DFP, if there was something i would spend the money on would be pedal related, afterall the sterring will just be the same, just slightly different shaped wheel etc..

the pedals are a lot more expensive than £100
some people might see it as a waste of money, just like some people see drinking as a waste of money... i dont!

i know, you don't have to tell me! was looking at a set then saw the 4 digit price tag

I don't mean 'waste of money' nastily, but more like the fact that you can dress it up all you like , but ultimately it is still only a dfp.

Similar to those guys who pour money into making their cars look like the top of the range models by using the same bodykits and wheels etc, but under the hood it's still only a bog standard 60BHP 1.3 and the doors, interior and head lining is always still beige

Ha ha!! I never thought of it that way! OMG! I'm a ricer! A DFP-Ricer!!

A guy in our team does alot of modding, of his wheel etc etc, the sort of thing that costs £10 to do, but adds an additional16 buttons to the wheel (for messing with an old game pad and a soldering iron etc etc...)

At the moment hes looking into making a set of pedals which include a pressure sensitive brake pedal, know if that works, i'd happily hand over £150 to him ....assuming they work with a DFP - but i'm not really that technical, so i'm guessing they would be seperate with an individual USB etc etc...
