I have a lil problem, i been playing lfs all day without any problems. But when i want play online it keeps saying can't connect to master server, but everything else on my computer (internet,...) works fine.

Does anyone have any idea wot i can do??

Checked your firewall settings?

Ye i didn't change any files or settings. I was playing online, went offline for dinner and when i came back this keeps happening, haven't got a clue wots going on

I cant connect to the server either. Has happened for ages and I gave up tbh. Firewall allows LFS to connect and my internet is working but it just wont connect... Hmm

try again - it went down (here at least) about 30 mins ago

can you do, in a command box (start -> run -> cmd (and press enter))

ping master.liveforspeed.net

and tell me what it does

just incase..... what version of LFS are you on?

Not sure what patch. But it isnt any of the latest ones. I cant download them via the game because it wont connect to the internet. Any place I can download them from an 'outside' source?

Well the problem reappeared, just like the last time it won't connect to master server but all else works fine

Ok guy's same problem can't connect to master sever, Been off the game for a while 2+ weeks, I Have tryed CMD.EXE Ping master.liveforspeed.net And its pinging fine ive also Tryed Program file's,Window's,Driver's,ETC,Host's and adding 213.40.20.2 master.liveforspeed.net I saved it but still Can't connect to LFS. This is not due to my windows firewall i have tryed everthing you and think of to do with windows firewall Allowing LFS though, It's very strange. Im also running window's vista


The strange thing is i got a knew PC cause my other one messed up on me
i got this computer and Downloaded LFS Patch_W+ Then it worked fine i then was told to install patch W_17 had very hard time getting online but didnt seem to be as difficult, as what it is now i have updated to W_47 I Have tryed everything, im now waiting for Patch_X As ive been trying so hard and not got anywhere

once again Ive Tryed everything ive allowed the new LFS.EXE though my firewall, And yes it only did it when i updated to Patch_w47

Still having the same problem with Patch_x, I think this is because Window's Vista Has noticed that everytime i Update to a new Patch, The LFS.EXE change's. And thinks its a Virus And Block's It, But unlike Window's XP it doe's not come up with a warning massege Asking If I Trust The program, Wich Suck's but im working on it.

Windows XP media edition, no firewall, nothing changed from a few weeks ago other than ports opened up on the DSL modem for Microsoft Flight Simulator here. Can't connect to the server. I ping master.liveforspeed.net and get no response.

I can't connect with any of my LFS versions.

Same problem here fella's, can ping the master server fine, but LFS won't connect to it.

Hosts file is fine, firewall is turned off

I can't remember, where do you have access to the hosts file? I remember it in a thread somewhere back in pre-W patches I think.

Just worked out what is wrong,
had same problem with conn. tried with firewall off and it worked, then turn it on and kept changing options 1 by 1 and checkin if it`s workiin, i`m using sygate personal firewall and after i uncheck "anti-aplication hijacking"
[not sure if its any good so i`ll turn it on aftel playin lfs] and it made it works

i havent been able to connect to the master today using patch x and s1 or demo servers. but other versions worked fine and nothing is blocking it.

What does a "tracert master.liveforspeed.net" reveal, out of interest?

(start > run, type "cmd", click ok, type the above into the command prompt).
