You can do all of that in photoshop and probably most of the other paint tools used to make skins.

I know, but to get better at skinning this is the kind of stuff you need to learn. There are no, this is how to make a skin, tutorials. You need to do plain old Photoshop effect tutorials and apply what you learn to making a skin.

nobody has bitten his head off, they were just posting opinions on an approach to skinning. nothing more.
skinning needs practice and patience (like most things lfs). i have never used photoshop, only corel 10-12 and i have never used a tutorial to get what i wanted from the program. at first my skins were simple fades of colour with logos on them. i didn't know how to use any of the trace functions in the program so i have to zoom into the logo and manually trim the edges of each logo so it looked tidier. same with curves, i had no clue how to make a simple curve but lots of small straight lines made the curves i needed. once i learned how to make curves my skinning time dropped quite alot as you could imagine.
what i am trying to say is, if your gonna make a skin, go for one of the top programs and have a mess about with it (remember to save the bits you like) the worst thing you can do is make a shape you didn't want and that can be deleted. after a while you will find ways to impliment your ideas in a much better way.....imo

And people like me, you think us 13 year old kids can BUY photoshop, and we aren't like, Rocket scientists that we know how to do E=MC2 with paint are we now?
Im just tyring to help, if you dont want it, dont use it, and dont write your negative opinions and try and put me down like that ok?

There is only 1 person saying something negative and it's not even that negative.

Oh, by the way Harjun, E=MC² isn't complicated it all, its actually a very simple equation.

Nice site - it's just a novelty to me but I can see how it could help someone who's not interested in making a professional skin.

Dadge, reason why I said for people to chill out is because people started saying, I believe gag it was that all that stuff can be done with Photoshop and that its nothing special so its like turning down his offering to help and also the negativity from n00b (I guess negativity from n00b is nothing new ). Thats the reason why I said for people chill. So, I don't really think I said it "wrongly"
