Hi, I have no idea if this is the right place for a request, but here it is

A program that allows you to control WMP from inside LFS, so that you dont have to switch windows. Just a Next button and a Previous button that can be assigned to buttons on a steering wheel(DFP in this case) so that you can listen to music that you want to with no hassle

I use Foobar instead of WMP, and have created a global hotkey for next track, this could be assigned to a wheel button but I use the key to the left of the '1' key (tilde? old console button in CS).

WMP may have the option as well, worth a look

My keyboard has controls for WMP on it (I can assign them to Quicktime or Real Player too if I needed).

Maybe if you sought after a keyboard with such controls?

My keyboard is like your Vti, but i have assigned mine to work with Foobar

My keyboard is so old it's one of those beige coloured ones.

You can keep your fancy extra keys...I do laugh when I read someone saying they just disconnected because they caught the power key on their keyboard

Thankfully my keyboard already has options for any media player :P so if i dont like the track, i can just skip it with the commands at the top of the keyboard

i have the buttons on the top of mine, but as the keyboard was made by Microsoft no other app can use them, so i have to use a combination of "+", "-", Home, End, Pg Up & Pg Dn to control XMPlay

I used to use a MS keyboard with all the media controls, worked perfectly fine in Winamp and the like.

Using a G15 at the min though, nice media controls, comes up with the artist/trackname on the lcd screen as well

I have a Trust keyboard, I haven't tried the controls on Itunes yet, only on WMP..

I have music on when I race, but not in serious races. Just use a playlist with the songs you like the most, so you don't have to skip songs .

With winamp it also works fine. Winamp has a lot of standard key-combinations (Ctrl + Alt + PgDown) afaik, which I use a lot (destroyed my nice Logitech Keyboard some time ago with 1 liter ice tea...I was lucky, if would have been beer, I would have had nightmares...tasty beer

I usually just play a CD when im racing, Itunes does a weird thing that when it changes track LFS goes all jumpy for a few seconds, which is just catastrophic for controlling the car. CD at the present is artic monkeys + the view album on the one disc.

i have a logitech keyboard, it has play, mute, volume, even a button to bring up my media player, but no next/previous button :|

@ the keyboard solution - I'm currently using a laptop for gaming, so I can't really get a new keyboard.
