ok i am about to do my first render and i need to no which dds files i need to convert to tga i am doing the LX4

You don't need to convert DDS to TGA, 3dsmax recognizes DDS files (if that is what you're using). Most programs do recognize DDS anyways.

in lfs viewer, convert all those files to tga, usefull is you want to convert other cars later

I listed all the required textures for all the scenes I created.

If you don't want to convert the textures yourself, grab a copy of the LX4 scene and extract the textures and delete the rest

i converted the cmx viewer ones now to get them on the car

still trying to figure out how to put the textures on but ill get it

use photoshop if you have it with the dds plugin

i dont have that. I am after googling "dds to tga...." i am downloading image converter plus, is that good?

it is ok now, i have them converted, thank you anyway

i have no idea how good it is. can you let me know if its any good because photoshop runs really slow on my computer and it is probably alot quicker if it works
