Is it possible to overclock an athlon 3700+ (San Diego)
with this mb (msi k8t neo2 v2.0). I can't find any information about this.

You can basically overclock nowdays on every mainboard but you need to have some experience with that to not screw your motheboard,memory or CPU.Be carefull when doing that.

On cheapest motherboards the overcloking potential is usually very minimal.

possible? yes.
advisable? no. It's a VIA chipset which can't lock busses, push the fsb and you'll be overclocking your graphics bus (:X) and HDD's (:X x2!) which will go a tiny way (like 7%) and then corrupt and fail miserably.

IMO, it's not worth it.

Although on the right mobo you could (COULD, not will!) get it to go from 2.2 GHz to 3.1 GHz, i've got an AMD 3700 (KAB1E stepping, one of the best) sitting in an Asus A8N-SLi Premium at 3.07 GHz nice and stable.

Always possible, but depending on your motherboard, ram, cooling, stepping, etc you will can overclock higher or lower.
