I have the files i was given tin the folder..../Desktop/data/skins

(one is of a finished car) and the other is of just like pictures that should be wrapped onto the car!! how can i get thsi to work?

you dont need the first one....just make sure the second pic's name is in propper format and it will work...go to your garage, TOP LEFT>press 'new colours'....then down the bottom select the colours tab..then under that at the bottom of the screen click on 'texture name' and choose from the list of skins.

ok its in the folder and i have it uploaded to LFS world! but still no joy!

The file must be kept in the following format;
CAR_yourname.jpg.

i.e. XRT_myskin.jpg, or FZR_myskin.jpg. Have you renamed it? Are you sure you're using the correct car for the skin? When you say it "doesn't work" can you even find it in LFS? Do you find it in LFS and the mapping is wrong?
