It's called that because you should be shot down to hell for picking that colour on a BMW.

6/10 Because here in the neighbourhood there is also a bmw in this colour and it's butt-ugly It's a 3-door though with a big wing on it.

P.S. In germany, rot = red, so you're saying it's bright red red. Hell means bright.
