T1 Incident

First Lap Action

Thanks EVER so much Mr.... GFresh

Credit to the SC driver, although nice parking by Liuzi, backing into a truck after almost wiping out the SC!

ROFL @ Raikonnen missing the pits.

Anyone know where i can download a full copy of this race actually? I'm up for some F1'ing tommorow!

Spyker power, first Sato overtakes Alonso, now Winkelhock leading - what next? DC doing well? :P

I almost feel glad to have James Allen after listening to those two on the Speed channel clip.

I thought the ITV build up was relatively Hamilton-free until they interviewed DC and only asked him about how he thought Hamilton was going to do instead of actually talking about DC's race chances.

Is anybody else surprised that Hamilton wasn't disqualified for rejoining? I really don't think he was in a dangerous position parked against the barriers. Having said that, I was also surprised that McLaren got away with the Alonso pit stop.

Still, go Alonso!!
What is this talk with Alonso's pit stop? The one he drove side by side with Fisico? Didn't see anything unusual or wrong with that, happens all the time.
Quote from Clownpaint :Oops, I forgot. I tried to download that earlier after the race but it failed for me.

Probably because I have a download manager.

edit: Have you got the post-race conference by any chance? I'd love to see that.

I don't have it, but the transcript is on autosport.com. Seems FA accepted the apology later in the PC.
Nice quality. Is that free TV? Over here the broadcast is really starved for bitrate, even on pay TV.
I can't believe they went to the bother of having an argument in Italian and not one of them said 'mama-mia'!
Watching that video, Massa gave him enought space, Alonso didn't use whole track (he should go 10 cm more to edge of track), anyway if they didn't touch next turn was Alonso inside so he would pass him anyway
I've been watching over 20 years and I saw things in that race that i've not seen before.

I love the rain .
Amazing race, I only caught the last 10 laps live, went and got the 50 laps prior, and a frikking amazing race, Just total chaos, and a good drive by Hamilton, being lapped twice, and being able to pull out a ninth.

Also, hilarious watching a Spyker lead the race. Fantastic strategy there, and utterly comedic.

Jakg, Get on MSN for a linky.
One thing that Hamilton did learn, was where all the other drivers park at the end of a race!

Would've been better if he had unlapped himself, but it was interesting he was able to sit there with the engine running till a crane came and picked him up.

lol.

Apparently he got very close to the honda mechanics, although in the highlights last night it didnt look hugely close.
Yeh but the pit crews really do not like it when that happens, it only takes one of the drivers to make a mistake and they both go crashing into a large group of people.

LMAO

I think Alonso meant exactly that when he said he did it on purpose... He wanted to force Massa to slow down more, but as the Ferrari was very understeery on the wet tarmac, Massa slid into him...

As for Hamilton, my view about him hasn't changed a bit: Good, but nothing special... He could have done so much better if he had been more careful (afterall, a Massa, an Alonso and a Räikkönnen managed to stay on the track even if they were fighting close)... Those comparisons to the rain-kings Senna and Schuhmacher surely seem ridiculous in retrospective...
anybody knows if Ferrari protest the race???
When Alonso overtook Massa the 2 hours already passed (If I stopped my watch correctly). It's somekind of bad joke that they don't take their own rules serious! (Somebody stopped the race clock, wich was against the rules -> thats what the German Free TV commentators said)
Alonso finished in 2h 6min -> means 6 minutes over the time!
Very interesting point, I thought it was ran long.... Anybody know?

What made me giggle is spiker do not have the glitzy weather predicting computers like the bigger teams but they work with a student who predicted the rainfall! man always wins over machine!

The FIA sent every team an eMail 10min before start that it will rain soon after the start of the race, but Spyker was the only team believed in the prediction of the FIA.
Ohh sorry, Its the last time i beleve what i read in the SUN newspaper
