New hack that gets around the new cheat system. No matter what is done cheating is possible in every single game. One of the upsides to S2 is that cheaters can have their account removed; not a possability in the demo I'm afraid.

I noticed this behavior too. It's easy to do and does not require any hacks... I don't have access to game now, but I think this is how to achieve it:

Get your speed to max, then hold clutch. Gear down to neutral while holding clutch all the way. Release clutch. Speedometer will still show highest speed even when you don't press on gas pedal and car stops. But you won't be any faster because of this. It's just meter that shows wrong speed.

...but you wont be doing 250 in an XRT either way...

the guy was actually doing 250mph... it wasnt just his spedometer. he shot past everyone else on the straightaway.

imho the lfs developers should create some identifiable info in the demo part of LFS (like you have in S2).. so people that cheat in the demo can also be banned by ip or some other identifiable information..

maybe a "signing up for a free demo-account" isnt such a bad idea?

then you have a free demo account and a registered s1/s2 account.. but it both works in the same way..

You can already ban by ip in the demo.
Signing up for the demo wouldn't help much. There isn't anything stopping people creating a new account everytime their previous one gets banned or something.
