Did the forums and main race server go down for everyone else too?
I didn't notice anything. Haven't played LFS yet though,
Last night I couldn't get anything LFS related on my BT line although my Orange phone said it was still there. I wondered if there was something wrong with a DNS server somewhere. Clearly it got over it as I'm here posting.

It did, but not for a long time, only was some mins down here. But that could be problem with my internett aswell.
It was off all last night for me, and just came back on a minute or two before I started this topic.

I had a look at the servers and none looked emptier than usual, so I didn't think it affected everyone.

IReallyHateBureaucracy: I'm on BT too, so that may have been it.
Hmmm, strange if this happend us both at same time, of course there is a chance that it was just our computers, internett or something that wasn`t right, but I`m pretty sure it wasn`t my computer or internett that was the problem.

But hey, it`s not a big deal, but it`s allways nice to know what happend

I'm on BT, and while i've only just got up - last night i had DNS issues and couldn't get onto LFSForum, OpenDNS seems to have fixed it.

What exactly does it help to use OpenDNS?
Faster and more relieable internett surfing?

It's aparently slightly faster, but more importantly it's more reliable
But for people in Norway, it`s faster for them too than using our normal (Tele2) DNF..something?
And by faster, do you mean Download speed too?
Hehe probally not, but I can dream at leasy
Me two alll night
Same for me, im on BT here.
Same had no LFS until I went onto Open DNS. I hate BT

That sounds like a good idea. I wonder how they support it, advertising revenue?

From what I read on Wikipedia, it seems they have their own search page that is displayed when you enter something invalid, and that page has ads.
There had to be something, there's no such thing as a free lunch. It's not loaded with them though, from what I see.
