Just an interesting note, this race will begin at 5:15PM local time today. It has been hot all week in California, and its currently 100 degrees Farenheit, at 7:40AM...

If nothing else, racing 500 miles in an unairconditioned closed-top car in that kind of heat will be tough.

I'm surprised at the amount of team that's pulled out of NASCAR. This race there's only 3 cars that did not qualify. (Hooray for my fav underdog drivers )
