You know, I can sorta agree with Dethred on some things. Mainly
the lack of online players. But that's not the games fault, that's just
how it is. When the page says how many Racers are online, I guess it's pretty obvious that it's a generalization meant to include ALL the people
playing whatever version of LFS. I don't know. I don't really pay attention to it. Yeah the single player end of LFS is kinda dismal (but we were told that beforehand). And In The Americas, online pickings are usually slim during "prime time" and since offline playing with the A.I. isn't really an option, it can get pretty frustrating. Alot of people have moved on.
As far as the physics complaints go, I just don't understand it. I mean in S-1 you were doing good to get an LX to make a lap on the track without spinning.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but LFS just Ain't happening here in the US. WE never really cared much for racing, real or games as a whole.
When I used to race slot cars years ago, even with the Nationals, the Texas Shoot out and whatever, the main players were Europeans who flew in.
Heck the track we used was invented by a Swede
So it makes sense to make as many languages available for this game.
Keeping it English only would not be a good idea.
Going back to the online thing....I filtered IN private servers a couple of times, thinking that that's where everyone went to. But that's just not the case. Those places are as empty as a drift server for GTi on the dragstrip.
Like I said I agree with some of dethred's issues, but for the most part it really does sound repetitive and whiny.
