I am agree witj all your comments. A concept car doesn´t need to be ugly, but as I see, Mercedes centered all it atention to the technological part of this car forgetting the aesthetics part

Well, who cares about Performance the R8 looks 1million times better.
Not for me. A car where you can buy a "iluminated motorbay" is just blingbling mentality. Not a car at all. R8 is a toy for people who like to have a 4th car or so. And the sidepanels looks disgusting imo.

Illuminated passengers room is forbitten in "normal" cars. I don´t like that new cars seems to be able to do everything. Same goes to an electric handbrake.

The F700 is really interesting because of the engine. The looks are ugly, but a small 4 zylinder engine, running normal fuel, produces 258 bhp without a turbo. While using only 5.3 liters/100kms. That's awesome!!

Only due to your perception, my learned friend. My personal analysis of the current design practices of Mercedes-Benz lead only to an assessment starting with "meh" and ending with "yawn", as opposed to believing them actively hideous (especially when compared with other models currently on the road). No turbo? The car has two-stage turbo, direct injection, variable compression ratio and small electric engine. Diesotto alone makes 238hp which is really good but even more amazing is the torque 400Nm.
Oops, my new passat has both of those. Remind me not to offer you a ride anywhere. The passat is a fine well built car in its class but its boring to drive. A good workhorse. And it costs me nothing.

What does an illuminated passenger room mean? My VW GTI has interior lights and gauges that light up at night, but I thought that was pretty standard...
