For those who didn't know there was a service of celebration for Colin and Johnny McRae held today in their home town of Lanark, in Scotland. I went along and took a few pictures (most didn't turn out very well though...). On the way there we joined on the end of a convoy of at least 50 Imprezas on the motorway and to the town. It was a really good feeling to be driving in convoy with so many fans like myself and my friends. There were free buses provided to take us from a nearby car park to the town centre and when we got there it was totally packed. I don't know how many people were there but it must have been well into the thousands. People came from all over the local area, the country and even other countries to be there. It just goes to show how much Colin meant to people around the world. There were two huge displays in the main street showing video clips of Colin and Johnny and relaying the memorial service from inside the church. Colin's manager, David Richards, Johnny's headteacher and teacher and Ari Vatanen all paid tribute during the service.
So, did anyone else go along and if so did you take any pics?
