Last time we had this come up, that I remember, was some time ago. The xfire developers complained that LFS' master server didn't talk to xfire's servers in a way that they wanted. The devs pointed at pubstats. Xfire team bitched and went off in a hissy fit. I'll be amazed if the same doesn't happen again

Live for Speed works fine for me in xfire, so your request to get it supported is quite redundant

But your suggestions for detecting Demo/S1/S2 content wouldn't work, because it's the same program and the same files, it's only your account status which determines what you have access to, and they couldn't check that without violating privacy.

I don't have problems with Xfire saying I'm playing Live for Speed. The only problem I have is, is that it won't let me talk to anybody through Xfire.

Make sure you've got 'Show chat messages in game' enabled and make sure you know what the shortcut keys are (can also be changed).

i can chat to xfire from LFS no problems there. the problems i get is the screenshots are very buggy and it doesnt show what server im playing on by the server name (it shows IP). no server list from from xfire including favourites and last visited etc. other than that it does log how long i play and does the main things.

i use LFS in full screen mode and i can only answer xfire messages by alt-tabbing out. I dont see the messages in LFS also. So X-fire does not work with LFS for me. I have ingame checkbox active, yet nothing. LFS is under installed games (though added manually).

I know but the scrollock X wont do that with LFS, it does with BF2

For me using Xfire, I lose total control of the game when pressing my hotkey for chat, I press esc and regain. Full clutch, brake, throttle, steering perfectly straight.
