WIll the g25 fit on this desk?
You would have to remove the draw to put it into place...

I would buy something totally flat like this for your PC and wheel, thats what I have.
is there anyway to get one of those flat desks for under 90 dollers?

also i dont want it to be big because i want to put it in my basement
To be honest, i can't see why a G25 wouldn't fit on there . It would fit on the top part as there are only 2 little clamps that go underneath (ala DFP). It would also fit on the sliding drawer, you just wouldn't be able to slide the drawer away.
what about the shifter there is room for the wheel and the shifter?
There is enough room for the shifter, yes

I really would suggust you dont put the wheel on the draw has just the keyboard has it standing on its back foot...

What he meant was, that the keyboard (which is what would normally reside on the sliding shelf part, + mouse) already has those poor quality sliders under stress.
So, yes, the G25 + shifter would fit on the sliding shelf, but it wouldn't be very sturdy and would potentially break if you got a little excited during a race
That said, if you were to clamp them onto the top shelf, then you shouldn't have any problems.

lol thanks for the input i think im going to buy them
TBH I'd strongly recommend against getting a computer table with a sliding keyboard tray if you intend to race. The keyboard trays are a nice idea but they all seem shoddily made, none I've seen could take a wheel (mine deposited lots of ball bearings on the floor when the tracks broke) and you don't want your wheel sliding about anyway. My advice would be to try and find a flat desk, really those computer tables are no alternative to a simple flat desk (if you've got the space). You also need to avoid a curved edge (like a lot of corner units have) if you want to mount a wheel.

Unfortunately as you've found out quality office furniture is ridiculously expensive seeing as most of it consists of a few bits of MDF with that horrible printed veneer substitute surface. IIRC my desk cost £60 from Staples (although it's much larger than I need for just my PC or you're looking for), there were cheaper alternatives but they were really shoddily made, it's probably worth going and looking at them and choosing one that's likely to last even if you have to pay a bit more for it.
Yea, I agree. You might first think that the sliding keyboard tray is a useful feature, but once you have a desk without it you realize its just a gimmick that makes life harder. Having a keyboard on it never usually leaves room for the mouse, the thing is so flimsy that usually it slides around and you end up not using it. Additionally, it usually makes it damn near impossible to mount a wheel onto the desk (you can try mounting it on the sliding tray, but even assuming it's sturdy enough to hold it, it moves ALL OVER the place and slides in and out.) I've had desks with and without them and I can tell you I'll never again get one with a sliding tray. They're just annoying. As James May would say, "It's an ingenious solution to a problem that should never have existed in the first place..."

... actually, I'm not quite sure if that quote applies 100%, but it gets my point across, and I've always wanted to say it :P
wow thanks for all your help i dont care for the sliding tray i would rather have a desk without it but it is small (well not so small but avarge) flat desk but i would like if i can find a desk like this without the sliding tray for under 100 dollers?
1. Buy desk with sliding keyboard tray.
2. Spend 3 seconds (literally) removing it, by sliding it out
3. Fit G25
4. Play.

If you want to do work (I know, I'm sorry) then slide it back in. Easy.

Or just make one for less money out of thicker material...
thanks alot guys

i think its a little smaller

not a great desk for a wheel. There wont be much room, and it will also prove quite flimsy if you have at least 10% ffb. So imo, avoid this one.

That sucks. The G25 is 8.6kg's in total, so think of it when you have the monitor and other things on here. You gonna be getting close to the limit :/

Quote from The Product : Holds an up to 17" monitor.

What size monitor do you have?
Go to a shop and look at the desks, a lot of computer desks for under £20 will be really really flimsy.
I love the drawer... Where else would I put my mouse when racing?

It's been worse!

GFresh - Damn monkey island inhabitants always wanting to be different!
so is the first wood one better than he second one i showed you should i go to home depot?
The pic of the desk you have in your first post is pretty much what I have, I have the wheel on the slider as you will probarly find your pedals will be to close to your feet if you mount it up on the main table.

On mine my pedals are just about the right distance when I have the wheel on the slider and can't imagine how annoying it would be having it so close to my screen and the pedals.

I do have a seperate little desk where the keyboard is on my right so I don't have to stretch over my wheel to get it.
I'm not that tall, still the pedals are a bit too close... but I can live with that
