how to make new tracks for LFS
hi people, i have the TrkMaker it its for making tracks in Gtr2 and rFactor

it is possible to make tracks for LFS with this program?

for helping the admin team to make new tracks

regards

Nope, not possible im afraid. You can make layouts, but you need S2 to do this.
You have to buy a S2 license first, then you can use the custom track maker

yes to use trk maker you need s2 ummm just bored so BUY S2 NOW!!!!!
Or you could use LYTe and post your lyt here and be accused of a cracker lol
Thanks for giving him unsavoury ideas
Doubt it. We've already seen the McLaren, a 240ZX or so, buses, and there was another one. You don't see them in LFS now, do you?
The devs have politely asked that users refrain from modding the game publicly. Any mods you see will not be allowed on these forums, at least for now.
Quote from Mike85 :I hope this isnt illegal to say, but if the devs dont support modding at the moment, you can just try to reverse-engineer it and try to make some tracks. I would gladly ride those tracks if they were made. Anything is possible.

Maybe if someone actually succeeded in that, and made some real life tracks and show it in action, there would be no way back and LFS would start to get real tracks. I think someone from the rFactor modding comunity could do it. There are examples of games being moded which do not officialy support it. It is harder, but its possible.

Im hope Im not breaking any forum rules for saying this.

Might not be against forum rules but I think what you're saying is: hack the game, insert our own content and give the devs no choice in the matter. Not exactly within the spirit is it?

Do not forget the Mazda, canot remember what it was called, but it was orange and green

Anyway, wait til S3 is released, we`ll maybe get the tools that the DEV`s used then, but til that time comes - wait.

The infamous rotary, the 787B.
what on devs are working now?
More functions, content and more or less polishing the game off for S2 final release. Then there will probably be a major overhaul in the whole game (not so in the physics department i think more of a graphics engine one) for S3. And new tracks and cars, naturally.
Quote from Jakg :The infamous rotary, the 787B.

Thats the one, thanks.
Why is it infamous btw?
Because it only won once at Le Mans, when the big media wasn't into it.
Only rotary engined-car to win LeMans IIRC
I fail to see why it should be infamous, but then - I`m doesn`t have very much knowlege about le-mans, tho I know it`s a 24 hour race.
Marketting bullocks, mostly. Is it the only Japanese car to win LeMans as well? I'm not sure...

Lots of things are famous for no real reason. I quite like the 787B, as I do most cars from the era, but it doesn't really deserve its acclaim as far as I'm concerned.

I still wouldn't turn one away if it were to be given to me.
It won the Le Mans twice, it totaly outclassed it's competitors so FIA banned non-piston engines because of that.
That, too. Always a plus in a race car.

It 'only' won once but I agree with the rest of your post.

Huh? It won once, the FIA has nothing to do with LeMans, and rotaries are not banned (Mazda had a rotary campaign a couple years ago).

Where'd you get all that [wrong] information from?
Quote from WIkipedia :At the end of the season, the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) outlawed the use of Wankel-type rotary engines in the racing series which it governed to solely allow cars with the 3.5L F1 engine to compete as they had concerns over top speed at the Mulsanne Straight a few years earlier.

And yes, i was srong about 2 victories, dunno what i was thinking.
Since when did the FIA run LeMans?
