I tried installing the setup Widdow, but it seems to only support nForce2 motherboards, such and such .
I don't think it is the graphics card that is holding me up. *even though you need 7800gt or higher for the minimum requirements on COD4*

I think I know what it is, but I'd rather not post it on here incase I'm wrong and I make myself look like a fool in front of you guys *the computing experts, except for wannabe harjuin*

Thanks for the help, and the experience in overclocking. It worked, but didn't make much difference, at least 1-2 fps.
Dave I'm pretty sure it is the graphics card. I have a much lower spec system than you except for my graphics card (7950GX2) and I ran the demo on max with no problems at all.

You have one of the highest processor AMD currently do and 2gig of DDR2, your weak link is the 7600GT.

Plus if the min spec says an 7800GT then it kind of answers the question for you.

Yeah . Might as well save up for the 8800GT, when do the DX10s come out?

Games or gfx cards?

Crysis is coming out friday which is dx10 but some people have been modding that game so the ultra gfx setting looks good in xp as it does in vista.
The 8 series cards are DX10 ready now and games that use DX10 are just starting to come out now.

I know you were recomended that card as a stop gap until later for any updated DX10 cards/games or price drops in DX10 cards in the new year.

Just wait and see or if you can't, save up £180 or so for the 8800gts (320) best price and performance.

The graphics cards. I bought the 7600gt to keep me in bay until the DX10 is on the cards next year. Saved myself a bit of money from that .

I'm gonna wait for now. Christmas is coming, might ask the family for a 500GB SATA Hard drive and 8800GTS 320MB PCI-E graphics card .
All of nVidia's 8800 gfx cards are all dx10 (8800 ultra beening the best out of the lot but 8800 GT is the best bang for buck at the moment), not to sure about ATI thou.

Wait for the new 8800 GTS cards which are coming out sometime in december and they are going to better then the current GTX.
Awesome, thanks lads .

Might as well suck up the stutter FPS for the time being lol.
