Fraps locks LFS up
Hi,

I'm trying to make my first vid from LFS, but I didn't even succeed in making a recording.

When I press F9 to start the capturing, LFS just locks up, and it's stay's locked until I close down my Fraps, the same thing happens when I press F10.

It's seriously starting to bother me, I'm on X31.

The image stops, the sound keeps repeating itself.
I just tried it and it works fine, so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

I'm using FRAPS version 2.7.1, build 5499.
I tried on older version of Fraps, and still the same

Maybe it's the combination of Vista-X32 and Fraps that doesn't work ?

ps : don't start about Vista, it's my choice, it's my computer. Thank you !
I have Vista Ultimate 64 Bit and Fraps 2.9.3 full version.

Everything worked fine for me ... until I installed the SP1 RC service pack.

Now Fraps will close/crash whenever I try to record a video.
It does exactly what you said, locks LFS with the sound repeating itself.
Fraps works fine for displaying the framerate and taking screenshots though.
It does this in all games for me as well, not just LFS ...

There seems to be a problem between Fraps and SP1, because without SP1, it works fine!
F9 and F10 are command keys within lfs, id recommend using others, as my experience with those keys assigned as hotkeys for external programs, is never a good combination.

Also, if you can find one, use an older build of fraps, never the latest version. More stability.

I didn't install SP1 yet, so maybe it's something on my system. I'll try setting it on another key.

*edit*
