How to reproduce:
1) hotlap / autocross / drag strip -> immediate start -> false start & time penalty
2) change track (FE, KY, ...)
3a) immediate start -> false start & time penalty & time isn't counting
3b) start after a while -> no penalty but time isn't counting too

You must change to another mode (single, ..) to back HL to normal.

Yup I reproduced this, the timer doesn't start once you pass the start/finish line. Also, after you switch the track and you enter the game, the virtual start lights are shown when they shouldn't be.
