After spending a while of sifting through "I WANT TWEAK NOW RELEASE IT MODS", users spamming their e-mails to try to get a copy, and people releasing their versions without permission, I think Tweak should not be released to the public. Or if you want to compromise, add a feature that prevents demoers or non registered guests from downloading certain files. Tweak is a program I like though, but all this bitching for a release? It could wreak havoc on the community with spam from demo users wanting tweak, knowing it's for liscensed racers only, and others spamming how fast they can go on the BL1 back straight, oval, or drag strip. Also, it would cause trouble with the WR charts, with people finding exploits and uploading stupidly fast laps to take away WR's.

I currently have a PC thats not really fast enough for alot of internet play, and my internet is absolute crap (thanks Adam internet) - so Tweak i really enjoy having a mess around with and can have alot of fun without having to go online. I chose Licenced users aswell - FK the demoers - if u like the game, pay the money, its a worthwhile investment!

I cannot understand how the hell you can qualify that statement. We have no way of tracking who takes up LFS and who leaves it behind when they're a DEMO or a licenced racer, so unless you've taken it upon yourself to track who races when and who does what, you have absolutely no evidence.

Lmfao? How? You just play the game, complaining that people don't make you things, when all of us S2 licensed racers have payed and are playing the game. If someone buys the game and invests their own money, that shows commitment, therefore loyalty. Someone leeching off the game for years because they cannot afford £24 even though they could have been saving for years!

How are Demo-ers that get more cars (because you can change characteristics) for free loyal to the developers? What do they get from you?

First thing i noticed was it was almost all demo-ers that want to release it for the public and none demo-ers that do not want it released at all.

I agree with h3adbang3r here. Tweak could hurt LFS with new leaks and people not buying the game because they get cars with other characteristics for free.

Well, if the tweak is released and people from demo start using it, take away their servers? Simple. First they all crack the game..(illegal), then they crack tweak to unlock even more combinations (even more illegal). Just take away their master server - see how they like that.

Any major delay or inhibition of tweaks by anyone but the maker of the tweak program will result in the LFS developers losing $20 from my wallet when S3 comes around.

This is the worst thread containing the worst idea in internet forum history.

PS: Considering Americans really have trouble playing online, a tweak is a good incentive to buy the game. I never play online because the lag from European servers is terrible and when I am able to play there are only 200-250 people online, most of whom are on drift servers and other useless crap.

Tweak to be ONLY and ONLY Released to S2 licensed users, so you hiroshima guy, buy the damn best game (simulator), and don't bitch about no tweak being made for demo users.

I'm not a huge online racer, simply for lack of free time to spend perfecting setups and racing lines and so when I do have 20 minutes to play on LFS I normally like to mess around with Tweak.

If Tweak stops being released then it'll be a real shame because for me it provides an extra element to the gaming experience of LFS.

I'm a fully paid up owner of both S1 and S2 and have played for a number of years, when there was just blackwood... and what I find annoying is the sim snobbery amongst alot of tweaks detractors. I'm no worse than them for liking to play around with the specs of the cars in LFS, I know it's not up there with spending 18 months getting the very best laptime at BW, but this is what keeps me playing LFS and more importantly for people like Scawen it's what keeps me paying for each new version of LFS.

Well... i think the tweak should be released in a special "for S2 Licensed" forum section. It would be more difficult for demoers to download it(and thx to all sort of keygen use it). For me, tweak is an amazing program and i play with it a lot, i just love to make cars as realistic to certain cars in real life as possible.

Yes, their moral support is of invaluable worth, and it gives the devs the strength to go on and keep improving LFS. I would even say that LFS would not be what it is today without the contribution of these career demo players.

Whether or not a new Tweak addon is released has nothing to do with a war between demo racers and S2 racers, that's how you read into it.
The real reason is that any Tweak program has to be approved first by the moderators to make sure it's ok and it doesn't violate the rules. It's just that simple. It has always been like that and it will remain like that. So stop crying over not having a tweak program (yet), and perceiving this as some kind of war.
I guess what a lot of people are sick of is the constant whining and begging. We don't need 20 topics asking wheres the Y tweak, we've had FAR too many of those in the past. It will come when it is approved. If it is not approved then it will not come. You're just going to have to accept that.
And about my/the xrt avatars, it's just a stab at the whining demoplayers that have flooded the forum lately. I repeat, the whining demoplayers. This in itself implies that there are also non-whining demoplayers. I am not referring to them and they should not feel adressed to.
