I really don't have much free time to play LFS, but when I do I have fun.

I recently upgraded to patch Y and I keep blowing the clutch or something, what is the proper way to drive and what settings should I be using for the "Gear Shift Mode"? I have a Driving Force Pro wheel.

You need to lift off the throttle a tad, change gear, and then put the foot down again

well i use the dfp too and i just use paddle's so just be smooth and dont shift down to fast...

Cut (or lift in your case) the throttle just before up/downshifting. This should minimalize the amount of heat your clutch 'generates' when shifting. Note that you don't have to be at 0% throttle when upshifting, but it does have to be below a certain amount of throttle (generally 50%).

the proper way to do is to keep driving like you did in x and then come the forums and complain that patch y is homo.

on a more serious note, handling the gearshifts like in a real car carries a long way.

also, if you spin out you should change the gear to neutral or first quick. if you start driving after the spin with like the third gear you'll most certainly burn the clutch.
