Patch Y BSOD
About 90% of the time im using LFS it makes my computer BSOD with either my video or audio. Its only done it since Patch Y. I have both my audio and video fully up to date and it does it at random points. Only in MP it hasnt happened in SP...

HELP?
Did it say hardware damage or such in the BSOD? Well anyways I cant help you too much but I know that when its hardware damage it says it in the BSOD. I've had some BSOD's and my bro gets them every once in a while when he plays NFS pro street heh.

Something along the lines of DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Hmm then I guess that tells you its software problems. Cant help you much more heh. Im sure someone else can! be patient theyll help you
I got that kind of BSOD tons with faulty RAM, once I got new RAM, I've yet to have that BSOD.

Yeah I knew it was software :P

Im a computer tech by trade.
Anyway can someone help me? I really miss playing LFS its been a few weeks now

My RAM is new

And ive already ran a test on it, and my HDD, and my other HDD, and my video card, I installed a bigger power supply... It has to be software. Not to mention LFS is the only thing that crashes for me.

Then explain why, my good man, LFS is the only thing that does it.
Microsoft is wrong at times :P

My hunch is LFS tries to do something funny with my sound and it freaks out... Becauses i get the audio driver mentioned mostly
Maybe. Maybe only when theres multiple engin sounds? since it happens only in Mp and not Sp
Quote from Juggz :Then explain why, my good man, LFS is the only thing that does it.

probably because it uses a few api calls or other requests from your drivers your other programs dont

either way theres 2 words in that bsod message which clearly tell you that the problem is happening at a level far beyond where scawen prods his greasy little fingers with lfs
Nah multiple sounds cant be it because ive tried with AI...

Any ideas what i can do then? I have the latest drivers for everything. None are beta's
Do you have .NetFramework 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 installed and updated.
Well 1.0 and 2.0 atleast installed.
Not haveing it can cause problems.

Applications don't cause BSODs, broken hardware and drivers do. My guess in RAM, run memtest overnight.
J.B., RAM is my first guess just because I had faulty RAM in my iMac, and knew how to reproduce the BSOD, and after replacing the RAM, I can't get that same BSOD if I try.
