Poll : Do you prefer Top Gear or Fifth Gear

I prefer Top Gear, I worship the stig.

I prefer Fifth Gear, I like Jason Potato

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Top Gear is the best though, and Sabine Schmitt is better than VBH

This, they need to get Sabine as a new presenter on TG.
#52 - JTbo
Quote from J@tko :Why's everyone going on about VBH? The people (men) who watch it are'nt watching it because of her.

We are

Isn't Sabine already in that german show? In Deutchewelle or something like that (I'm terrible with names, even worse with german names, sorry).
Quote from JTbo :We are

Well, you are!

Well, by the looks of the poll, no-one is!

Tristan. (or would he prefer Hammond?)
#56 - JTbo
I voted TG I'm afraid. Hammond is too hot to ignore.
Quote from JTbo :Yes, that will be at least 50% of cool guys then

I prefer Fifth Gear, I like Jason Potato: JTbo, Xaid0n

You are so weak

P5YcHoM4N is new cool guy then
Quote from P5YcHoM4N :This, they need to get Sabine as a new presenter on TG.

She is in the new JC DVD, racing the stig in a slower car and only just losing. JC had to kiss the stig because he won.
Weak - I was one of the first to vote, before any bandwagons came a-rolling

You just like people-carrier comparisons don't you. Go on, admit it!

I just watched it on YouTube. She lost on purpose though
Top Gear, it's just way more entertaining and fun. Fifth Gear is good program too, but when I watch TV, I prefer to watch entertaining shows than just goods. But, in Finland Top Gear started only like a two months ago and Fifth Gear starts in this month, after all I'm gonna watch both, cause they don't go out at the same time. And when talking about the presenters, in Fifth Gear they are kinda annoying...

Well, folding back seats and Vicki showing those in action must be that soft spot
What about Vroom Vroom????

Emma Parker Bolwoleoelsnwdiebrvnil did a good job with her bit in the show trying out different motorsports.... the rest of the show was pants apart from the nations cup thing which was a laugh.

At the very least they didn't try to copy TG like 5th Gear...
I think Sabine is really annoying. She hasn´t really got anything to say so she makes weird noises "uuuuuuuuuuhhhh", "aaaaaaaaaahhhhh", "oooohhhhhh" and fake laughs. She has a silly german accent and she´s not even that good looking. I fail to see why you like her so much.

But hey, I guess it´s a matter of taste.... Who likes the mother and who likes the daughter.

Vroom Vroom is rubbish. Pulling Power with the cheeky cockney chappy Mike Brewer is better than Vroom Vroom, and that is like a poor version of the old style 30 minute Top Gear

I like her accent, though just recently I have found I like it when foreigners speak English. Though the noises to remind me of that crazy Mexican chick from GTASA.
Quote from Zoom_Boom :yea top gear is awesome. i watched one of season's 10 top gear and simon cow was the guess and they were talking about x-factor, about cow with his own show. whats that all about?

What's that all about indeed. I haven't a clue.
Missing option: D-Motor - technically superior german precision, and a racing angle (competetive racing, not what motor journalists think is racing) Only thing I don't like is Karsten, but his section is easy to skip. Sadly I don't understand german.

Top Gear is not an objective consumer testing show, they replaced all that with humor and powerslides, stupid jokes and more "POWER!" and alot of eye and earcandy. This is one of the funniest show I've seen, and I love it.

Fifth Gear - Still has some attempts at objective testing, but their "comic relif" parts are way too silly.

If I was going to buy a 40k-120k car I would listen way more to a D-Motor review more than the brits.

OT: VHB is cute and has a smile that could sell me an expensive rust bucket car, however I think she has to walk through some doors sideways.

Oh I agree... it is pants... but should be considered nonetheless... even the lib dems get a chance to be voted for.

Used Car Roadshow... now there's a show... and I bet all you lot will be lusting over the 'hot' penny mallory. looking all dependable and faithful and nice and like you can talk to her for hours about anything lol

5th gear is very funny sometimes, unfortainly they do good rather new car wrecking too and I must hate them for that, specially that old Merc did not deserve such destiny they gave it to
Top Gear all the way.

There is something about the formula of Top Gear lately. When they had the fat bloke during the first few seasons it was a nightmare. When Jeremy, James, and Richard began acting more like friends just having fun with cars and joking around it added a level of informality. Its the formal and scripted reviews that make most review shows awkward.

Over in America we have some really really really bad review shows that literally just run through the numbers and show the car wobbling down a drag strip, then call it a good car. Fifth gear comes close to that, its more of a "this car has ____,_____,____ features that make it a good value."

On the other hand Top Gear is more entertainment. Not very many people are going to even see a Bugatti Veyron in person, much less drive or own one. The fun of watching the show and these insane cars is much more appealing than finding out about what you'll be able to afford and hate to drive.

I equate the success and shortcomings of the two shows to being a kid with a choice of two posters on their wall. The first being a Ferrari racing down a runway, and the second poster being a euro-box sitting in front of a cafe' with two people reading off the teleprompter.

I don't see much of anyone choosing the latter. Hell, I'd rather watch a review of a euro-box on Top Gear and hear how terrible it is, than watch a review of a Aston Martin on Fifth Gear and hear a list of the car's accoutrements.
Wait are we talking about Top gear, Fifthgear or... girls?

Top gear is the hottest!
I think it's pretty obvious which people prefer.
