i have a suggestion how to show ping.
when u look at the bottom of left corner (ping.jpg) u can hardly understand what is shown, so i think ping should be shown like in ping2.jpg pic when u press N.

If you turn on Network Debug, you get to see each players latency above their car.
Shift+F8 to turn it on/off

You'll probably find he was running the server himself. If he is the server, there cannot be any lag, for him, relative to the server.

still my suggestion for ping is better than it is now
