The Blackwood Head Start Challenge

Race Setup:
Circut: Blackwood (BL1)
Laps: 3
AI Cars: 5x FXOs using 'Race S' setup
Player Car: FBM

The Challenge:
How much of a head start can you give the AI and still win the race?
The person who waits the longest before starting is the best.
You're allowed to roll up to the start of the checkerboard on the start/Finish line. Wait there and take of whenever you choose.


Golden Rule:
Your car cannot make any contact with any AI cars or track side objects.

To get the ball rolling, below is my effort of giving a 30 second head start.
It was my 3rd attempt and will be easily beatable (coz I'm slow ). The key is to understand what the AI is doing and pass at the right time.

As for the fast AI, it's not really going to make that much difference, but you could just reset the AI knowledge files if you're that worried.

Don't take it too seriously, its not a direct challenge to you, its just a suggestion that might seem fun.

clear the .knw files, then first let AI run at least 50 laps on that set. then try this challenge

I don't think the .knw files are used any longer. At least they don't seem to be updated by LFS at any point of gameplay.

Here's my attempt, didn't roll to the actual line though but still 50 sec head start should be a good one. Could add a few to it, passed right in the last corner, lap times weren't the best, but good enough imo.

Fast, and nice passing at the end there.

Your AI seems to be about 3.5 seconds per lap slower than mine though. My AI ran a 20 lap race earlier today and the must have improved more than I thought. I didn't think there would be that much of a difference.

Yea just watched your replay, should practice my AI as well. I'll try again later when i get my AI down to ~1:28
