WRC coverage moves to Dave

Good news for British fans? Or is it going to turn the WRC into a comedy style coverage that alienates the hardcore fans?

My only issue is that my freeview digital can't even get a strong enough signal to watch Dave, it used to be fine but now it can't pick up half the channels, not even ITV! With digital in my area only being upgraded in 2012, I might miss out on the WRC for a few years. But then again I can't get ITV4 either.
I thought the ITV coverage was pretty dull to be honest. A change might be good.
Dave seems a pretty good channel, ITV's coverage was quite poor in my opinion and on at stupid times so let's hope Dave has a more sensible approach to the coverage
Dave's a pretty good channel, it's just 24/7 BBC repeats. Top Gear repeats are always good, although there's little I actually go out of my way to watch on there.

Dave's pretty good - TG repeats/car duels/Question of sport repeats!

But what a name for a TV channel!

Don`t be mistaken, the WRC footage is produced by NorthOne Television and ITV just used to buy their footage, they didn`t have any input in it. So with the move of WRC to Dave TV, I don`t think that much is going to be changed, as they will still buy the footage from NorthOne Television. And mind you, I always like the WRC footage from NorthOne Television - I think they are doing a great job.

Also, the new www.wrc.com site was launched few days ago and it looks promising - free videos, the amazing rally radio and possibly even split times and live coverage from super specials (we`ll have to see, no word about that yet). IMHO, 2008 is looking very promising for WRC.

...only thing annoy's me about Dave is he shows more ad's then anything else. tis very annoying every ten minutes and goes on for four minutes or so. Boooo!

It was called UK Gold 2, then UKG2, then UKTV G2 (when the continuity announcers said that it had more letters than Postman pat and was for watching not speaking) and then they renamed it to Dave.

I like the Dave channel too, its usually programs that I dont mind seeing repeats of. It needs more motorsports, for sure. Big thumbs up!
There are some 4 day rallies this year. Lemme get some source-age.

Copied from my post on Finalgear....

It seems that this years Rally Monte Carlo is going to be 4 days long rather than 3 days wrong... Dunno why but it just is...

Full Calender Seems to have a few unexplained 4-days-ers on it too. I thought at first that it might be because they have 1 SSS on the thursday night. But they just counted them as 3 days on last years calender... (* on all possible/confirmed 4 day events)
