Well here it goes...

I'm fairly new to LFS, and I absolutely love the game, I've been playing it for the past 4 weeks and I can't stop. The graphics, physics, models, gameplay, and amount of realism for a racing game is incredible. But you see, I have a little conflict... There is no way for me to get the game. I don't have a credit card, paypal, and I can't afford a cell phone. I'm not one to make a sob story, but this one is quite true. I am a clean racer, and I would like to join you all on S2, even S1 would be nice, I appreciate anything i get really.

If you can sort anything out for me, I will be very grateful, even if you consider this I thank you. If you show me how friendly you can be, i'll thank you by racing with you and helping you out with anything you need. Thank you.

How do you pay for online access?

I don't have a credit card either. I didn't have a paypal account either. Then I got the latter and paid for LFS.

When I buy stuff online, I become a Human Cash Machine.

My mum buys it with her credit card and I give her the cash.

Go to a friend, give him the cash and make him buy it with his card.

If you have the money in real Canadian Dollars, give it to a friend/friend's parents e.t.c and see if they'll use their credit card for you.

moneybookers? you can go to your local bank and tell them to send £24 to the bank account you've got when you chose to buy from moneybookers on the lfs.net shop page.

I like your idea, but I don't know for sure if any of my friends, or friends family have one, and i feel bad asking them, or getting them to ask. Because then they feel they'll get scammed or something.

Tell them not to worry. There must be about 5,000 liscenced racers (a guess!) and I don't think any of them have been scammed.

What is it with people being scared about paying on the internet? Jeez.
Besides, if you already paid someone the money, how would they be at risk of being scammed?

You feel bad asking your friends or family if they will make the payment online and get the money for it but you are totally okey with asking some totally strangers you have never met to do it for free without getting anything for it?

Closer to 50,000 nowadays probably. And many of them have paid separately for an S1 license and then an S1 -> S2 upgrade.

I lied - just worked it out - it must be a bit under 100,000 now.

(using stats from LFS WS section - number of liscenced racers.)

Racers on LFSW includes Demo-ers.

The closesest geustimate is about 50,000.

You'd feel bad asking your friends to accept cash in return for making a card payment online, but you don't feel bad asking people you don't know (us, here in the forum) to give you something for free?

I think you could be trying harder to get LFS, but you'd rather mooch off random strangers. Good luck in adulthood.

@OP, I got a pay pal account without a credit card. All you need is your account number sort code etc and put it in, then Paypal will make transactions like a credit card but they take a bit longer to verify. It's really not that hard once you have the money, just takes effort.

There's over 19,000 atleast, seeing that's how many seperate racers have joined and agreed to the rules of the CTRA system.
